Q: 1. I have lenses for my Panasonic gh4 and I am buying a Canon ef blackmagic. I have scoured the Internet for a converter that would work for this. No luck. Any leads?

A: The answer depends entirely on the specific camera you wish to use. In order that we may better assist you, please write us with further detail. provideo@bhphoto.com.

Q: 2. Does this adapter also work with F mount lenses?

A: Yes, it does. Its high quality, and can be used with any Nikon F lens. Good shopping

Q: 3. can bmpcc lens be used on gh5using this adapter

A: yes

Q: 4. Will vibration reduction on a lens such as the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II work with the Metabones MFT adapter and a Panasonic GH2 or GH3?

A: Vibration reduction, as well as any other electronic lens functions including autofocus, will not be retained when using the Metabones Nikon G Lens to Micro Four Thirds Lens Mount Adapter.

Q: 5. a c mount 25mm lens will it be still a 25mm on 4/3? thank yoz for your help

A: The C cine mount is commonly used on 16mm movie cameras, closed-circuit television cameras and microscope phototubes. C-mount says very little about the lens and its intended usage, so for a MFT camera, you will want to make sure the lens was designed for 16mm or better Super 16mm film. The MFT sensor is slightly larger than a Super 16mm film frame (17.30x13 vs 12.52x7.41) so you will see some to significant image fall off in the frame corners. Because a C-mount lens is made for smaller formats than MFT, there is no crop factor. A 25mm C-mount lens will remain a 25mm lens on a Micro 4/3 camera.

Q: 6. Do the numbers on the adapter correspond to the lens accurate f stops?

A: No they don't. When the Metabones adapter is installed, it overrides whatever f-stop you might set on the lens. In other words the Metabones adapter takes complete control of aperture. The numbers on the adapter range from F (for full wide open, I guess) through 1-6 to 7 which is fully stopped down. One can guess that halfway through the range from F to 7 might correspond with a mid-range lens aperture of about f8 or so, depending on the aperture range of the lens one is working with.

Q: 7. Will this work with Contax G 21mm and Contax G 16mm lenses?

A: Yes the Metabones Contax G-Mount Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera Lens Adapter (Gold) will work with those lenses. Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm (AE metering), or other auto functions are not retained using this adapter.

Q: 8. so with this adapter I can connect my Nikon lenses to my gh4, but how can I change my aperture since the lense is not the native lense?

A: Aperture is changed manually by turning the aperture ring on the adapter.

Q: 9. Hi! I pretend to use this adapter on a g7 Panasonic with the lenses: 10-24 DX, 70-300VR, 50mm 1.8D and 24mm 2.8. Will focus and maximum aperture work perfectly with all those lenses? Is there some restrictions? Will the minimum focus work, as well to infinite? Thanks!

A: Hi, i use the adapter in 2 versions for BMCC and BMPCC with sigma zoom. It works perfectly

Q: 10. Will this adapter work with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera MFT mount?

A: Worked perfectly. Easily the most finely manufactured adapter I've encountered. Highly recommended.

[0.18 lb] Yes, 3 of them! All bought from B&H because it is the BEST C-Mount adapter around!
Very well made and designed well to reach infinity focus on most C-Mount lenses!
The poor ratings below are more than likely false or made by people who do no know how to use C-Mount lenses properly!
There's a great resource group on Facebook and we often link this adapter there!

[0.18 lb] I purchased the adapter to use a Tamron 150-600 lens on my Olympus EM-1. The adapter fits camera and lens securely and allows changing aperture settings. I'm satisfied with the adapter.

[Aluminum] This allows me to use my collection of old Nikon manual lenses as well as my new Nikon G lenses on my Panasonic GH4. My auto lenses however are reduced to manual operation only. Not so great for fast action photos or video. Works great for a video interview or something that doesn't move in and out of focus. The idea is to use the lenses at wide open when possible. With the GH4 my nikon 70 to 200 mm 2.8 doubles the focal length effectively. One problem with the GH4 is the tripod mount doesn't clear the panasonic YAHG attachment, but it can be easily removed.

[Aluminum] Very well made product. On first installation on the camera body, Lumix GX9, it was very tight. After a couple of times off it has become quite a snug fit, as it should be. Very happy with the construction.

[Aluminum] Sixty-year-old Leica lenses can attach to the modern M43 cameras. What's not to like?

[0.18 lb] My specific use for this Metabones adapter is wildflower photography in full manual mode and it works like a charm! In fact, I'd say the combination of Metabones adapter and macro lens is more convenient to use than the macro lens by itself! I use the Metabones to adapt a Nikon-mount, Tamron 90mm macro lens to a Panasonic Lumix G7 camera. (I also have a Nikon D7100 camera, but I use the G7 for backpacking because of its lighter weight and for wildflower photography because of the swivel LCD monitor). Here are the positive aspects of the Metabones adapter: (1) The Metabones adapter fits snuggly enough that there is no play between the lens and the camera. (2) The tripod mount on the adapter is, to my surprise, a huge plus because, mounted there, the lens and camera are balanced much better than if the camera itself were mounted directly on the tripod. (3) Best of all, as one rotates the aperture ring on the adapter, the aperture of the lens opens and closes along with it and the aperture remains where it is set. This means that one can easily rotate the aperture ring until one finds the depth of field that looks best and then that look is held in place. On most cameras, the depth of field preview button is inconvenient to use because the lens is only stopped down for as long as the preview button is physically held down. CAUTION: Be sure to focus with the lens wide open and then stop down to the depth of field one wants. (4) One side benefit is that, on a micro four thirds camera body, compared to my D7100 crop sensor camera, my macro lens gains significant working space between the lens and subject. Note that when using the Metabones adapter, autofocus capability is lost. However, one can somewhat awkwardly utilize the camera's light meter by setting the shutter speed on the camera and then rotating the Metabones aperture ring until the light meter indicates the correct exposure has been achieved.
