The Kramer Electronics TP-580RXR Extended Range HDBaseT Twisted Pair Receiver for HDMI, bidirectional RS−232, and IR signals receives an HDBaseT twisted pair signal from the TP-580TXR (sold separately) and converts it back into HDMI, RS−232, and IR signals. It supports transmission of 2K and 4K video signals over a distance of up to 430 feet and 1080p up to 590 feet.

A: The Kramer TP-580TXR Extended Range HDBaseT Twisted Pair Transmitter does not support POE powering and would require the use of its included power supply.

A: In theory, the Kramer TP-580T HDBaseT Twisted Pair Transmitter should produce the signal and not need the receiver.

A: Yes, this will work for it.

A: That should be possible. This HDBaseT Transmitter and Receiver set is HDCP complaint, which is necessary for it to work with a cable box. It also can extend IR over the Cat6 cable.

A: No HDR pass-through is defined on this product.

Q: 8. Does this product work for POE video cameras?

A: Yes, the Kramer 100' CAT6a HDBaseT Cable (Blue) is a good cable to use with PoE cameras.

Q: 9. is the extender IP based? is it able to be fed through a switch in its own VLAN? or does it have to be a direct connection on both ends?

[12 VDC, 380 mA] My rating on this piece of equipment It is as follows. It performs above and beyond what I could imagine, easy to set up great quality! The service from B&H Photo sales staff was awesome as well I cannot recommend this more highly. I have a total of 4 of these units and they all work perfectly Kramer is awesome with their service and support as well. 5

[1.4 lb (0.6 kg)] We needed this for a church set up. We are running a video camera and to get the HDMI signal back to the booth we tried these out. Our church also uses a rec/tran pair to get HDMI up to our projector. Kramer makes good sturdy products this is no exception. This is the Receiver you do need to purchase the Transmitter PT-571 to make a pair. Both come with a power supply you only need to power one end. This did work just fine with a pre-made 100 foot cat5 cable. If I was going longer distance I would make sure to use cat6 cable. Good Luck... Rob 5

[1.4 lb (0.6 kg)] This Receiver/Transmitter pair really just makes a long (up to 295ft) HDMI cable. Nothing to 'install' as much as just 'plug in'. You'll need an HDMI cable at each end - plan accordingly. Use shielded cable! 5

[1.4 lb] I have several pairs of PT-571/PT-572+ transmitter/receivers. They work the first time... every time. Picture and sound are great. Very little delay. I have cable lengths as long as 250 feet. 5

Using these with 572 receivers and a Kramer 2x4 HDMI distro on the front end to send presentations to three screens over 100' of qualified (Kramer uniKat) CAT6 cable. It just works. No latency, no glitching, no resolution limits up to and including 1920 x 1080. Rack amount accessories make for a clean, manageable installation. The 572 receivers get power over ethernet, so no wall wart required at the receiver end. 5
