[ 3.5" HDD ] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been pleased with the performance of this drive. It does everything it says it will. The data transfer is good and storage is in the sweet spot for my family computer. Great option for those not ready to go to a network devise but still looking for a good amount of storage.

[ 3.5" HDD ] It has up to 250MB/s speed, and it's enough for color grading in Davinci Resolve without interruptions (even the BRAW and Log formats)
If you use it on a PC, I recommend you to NTFS system and optimise it to not have any problem.
BTW: I have 4 disk of this model: 2 of 18TB (G Drive brand), 1 of 12TB and another of 6TB, and 0 problems with them

[Yes] Love the build, good fan for keeping the temperature down, and activity indicator light is nice and the power light is a nice bright white to let you know it's on. The fan is audible but it's fair considering that you don't feel any heat from the enclosure. I've already copied 8TB's of data on the first day for 10 hours nonstop. No hitching. The extra usb c port on the back to attach an additional hard drive to it is also a nice touch. Currently using it with a Seagate Ironwolf Pro 18TB and works like a charm. Easy setup. Getting consistent 200 MB/s transfer speeds with Fastcopy.

[36.00 W] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my son who who is going to school for liberal arts. He does a lot with photography and wanted something for him to keep all of his work on to keep it safe. He wanted to keep all of his work so we needed something with lots of storage and this is it. He also does a lot of his drawings on his tablet and transfers them to this hard drive well. I highly recommend f you need alot of storage this is amazing

[ 3.5" HDD ] I bought it for the high capacity and low price. It's sturdy, easy to set up (just plug it in and rename it...) on my Mac. Flawless at this point. See me in 5 years.

Installed an 18 GB spinny drive, plugged it in, and got to work. Love that it comes with a cable, has a power switch, and an internal power supply (no wall wart!). May order another one just to have a spare (because products get discontinued, and I like things to match).


Haven't tried the external USB-C port, but I would daisy-chain a second unit.


Would purchase again.

[8 TB] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the best computer accessories I’ve used. It has a whopping 8T of space to back up everything over ever need. I’ve put my music, photos, videos, and all of my games on this and I’m not even over a quarter of the used space yet.

It’s also very small considering how much space it holds and looks very stylish when placed on your desk.

I’d highly recommend this if you find yourself wanting a good backup OR just needing extra space if your computer is full.

[Aluminum] I tried several enclosures and I finally think I found a winner. This thing is solid. Really solid and the fan is so quiet I didn't think it worked at first. However you can definitely feel it. Seriously good bye especially when you can switch HDDs out as your needs change for more storage.

[8 TB] This enclosure looks like it's from the 1990s. It's heavy, it's metal, it has a fan AND it has a built-in power supply. It has a power cord, but NO BRICK! There is a second USB-C port to daisy chain more devices.
I have an 8TB Iron Wolf Pro installed and the Tech Tool Pro software is measuring write speed at 345 MB/s, read speed at 278 MB/s. I have not installed an SSD yet, but you can install a 2.5 SSD or HDD in this box. I am very happy with this enclosure at this point. I may have to get another one if this one starts to get lonely.
