Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I normally wear a womens size medium. One of the Humvee by CampCo Safari Photo Vest many said it was not good for women sizes, just too big. How would this one due for a womens medium sized? Really want to try a photography vest, but none seems to be made for women's sizing.

A: I have a medium. I am about 5'6 and weigh 135 pounds with a medium build (about a 35 waist). I like the fit (a smaller size I feel would be somewhat constrictive). Also I like the mesh style for the summer. There are many pockets of all sizes (I think about 14 in all) ... the hardest thing for me is to remember is where I put everything! It seems to be durable and I have had no problem with the zippers. I have had it for about a year now and I really like it! Gene C from Wendell, NC

Q: 2. I've read some reviews that said the vest tends to be slightly over sized and that if you need a Large, order a Medium. If you need an XL, order a Large. Is this the case or does the vest fit properly?

A: My suite jacket is a 42 Long and my waist 36, and I am 6'1''. I ordered a large vest and it fits perfectly

Q: 3. What are the differences between Optic, Digital and Chromakey Green?

A: TRP WORLDWIDE Optic Green Polypro Screen (8 x 8') is just a different shade of green but can be used for chromakey. Other greens for Chromakey can be lighter in shade.

Q: 4. How does this lensbaby twist 60 optic differ from the 85mm Petzval lens?

A: This is a 60mm lens by Lensbaby, with a f/2.5 aperture. The Petzval is an 85mm portrait lens produced by Lomography with an aperture of f/2.2, and is made to replicate a specific style of portraiture that features unique aberration that is unpredictable. The Twist 60 optic allows you to have more control of the outcome.

Q: 5. The pamphlet that comes with this says it is supposed to fold into its own back pocket, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how. There are no instructions. How do you fold it into the back pocket?

A: Okay. It does. Hopefully this will make some sense. On the back at about waist high is a zipper. Open the zipper which reveals a pocket. Turn this inside out and fold the rest of the vest into it. When you turn the pocket inside out you will have the HUMVEE logo on the outside. Of course, when everything has bee stuffed into the pocket. close the zipper. Jack

Q: 6. slim fit? I am 6'1, 170 lbs. Will more than likely keep a 24-70 in a pocket, and my batteries + cards in another. that's all. I normally wear large in my tops. Should I get large, or medium?

A: If you are more of a slim fit I would go with the medium but if you want a bit more room for more equipment, I would purchase the large.

Q: 7. What is the expiration date and how many months it can be stored?

A: There is no expiration date as long as it is kept in the original container and capped.

Q: 8. Does this leave residue? I have an older bottle of Aero-Eclipse and that one leaves residue.

A: If use sparingly, this should not leave any residue. I find if I use more that 1-2 drops on a wipe, yes residue is created.

Q: 9. How is the aperture set? Is it done so using the camera itself? Many thanks.

A: The aperture is set by twisting the optic itself (it has a built in aperture).

Q: 10. The pockets on the black appear to be different than the pockets on the khaki. On the black, two small pockets on the right breast, on the khaki , one medium pocket. Is this correct? Both list same number of pockets.

A: I have a large black vest. It has one medium pocket and beneath it, a large pocket on the right breast. On the left breast, it has one medium pocket with two small pockets beneath it. Hope this helps. RAY

[Aluminum] Beautiful optic, durable and has an outstanding reputation. I am so glad I bought this setup. Amazing optical clarity and quality. The eye relief is pretty short, but the acog weighs less than the lpvo it replaces. I am a huge fan of the simplistic nature of the acog, gotta keep it Barney style for us Marines. The green chevron is where it’s at in my opinion. B&H as always great customer service and communication, awesome prices, and super fast shipping. Thank you very much B&H.

[32 mm] I used it as a replacement on my Russian SKS and I really like the Illuminated Mil-Dot Reticle in both red and green. Mounting was easy since it was a replacement scope and the length of the scope was the same.

[32 mm] This was my first purchase with B&H. The entire sales process was fantastic. I was looking for a very hard to find Trijicon ACOG with the Red Chevron M193 Reticle. The price was very competitive. The product shipped to me on time as promised. B&H followed with me during the whole process. I will definitely buy from B&H again. I would also purchase a Trijicon ACOG again. I am very Happy!

[Aluminum] Received the optic earlier than the forecasted available date. BH delivered the item within 2 days and the product arrived with no issues. As for the ACOG and rmr combo, the ACOG has excellent glass and I truly enjoyed zeroing the red cross hair. (Downloaded The PDF manuals on trijicons website). The only part I disliked about the combo was the position of the RMR, because to zero the RMR on top of the ACOG I would have to change my sight alignment and lift my head up to see the RMR. Do to the current Unavailability of offset mounts, I was not able to purchase one prior to zeroing the ACOG. Regardless, the combo is great and once an offset mount is available, I will test and zero the RMR.

[32 mm] I put over a 1,000 rounds with this scope in three days and couldn't ask for a more accurate scope. The clarity is great, the illumination works really well for my old eyes, and reticle is accurate for .300 BO. Even the wife and daughter were hitting bullseyes. The only thing I changed was the mount to a Midwest Industries QD mount. I'd buy it again and probably will.
