Looking to provide two-computer access to a single keyboard, mouse, and display? Just attach the switch to a powered USB hub, then connect all your desired peripherals for an all-USB KVM solution.

This switch works with any USB-enabled computer without drivers. Please note, attached external devices will still require drivers.

Supporting Windows XP and later, macOS, and Linux, this switch is backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.0 devices. Plus, the simple passive design utilizes bus power, meaning a separate power adapter is not required.

This hub does not charge connected laptops or drive USB-C or Thunderbolt devices with video outputs. It is not recommended for switching mass storage devices such as hard drives, flash drives, and card readers, as these devices should be unmounted or safely ejected via the host operating system prior to switching. Furthermore, autosensing of hosts is not supported; a manual press of the button is required. USB-C devices with video output or power delivery are not supported. The use of USB-A to B cables longer than 6' is also not supported.

A: That could work but this item only has 2 x USB Type-B USB 3.1 for devices so one of the items would be left out. Besides that it would work perfectly for this purpose.

A: The manufacturer has not published the length of the cable connecting the button to the Sabrent 4-Way USB 2.0 Sharing Switch.

[0.4 lb] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it. Easy to install, even has instructions though there's not a lot to do to get it working. Three cables plugged in and you're ready to go. It's a fast switch. I replaced an old, failing usb switch with this one, and the switchover is almost instantaneous now. Feels sturdy. Tiny thing, so it doesn't take up much space. A little blue light changes sides so you know which device it's switched to. The button is black like the device so it's a little hard to find it in low lighting, but no big deal.?? 5

[0.4 lb] I use sharing switch to connect my work-issued and personal laptops to the hub connected to all other peripherals (monitors, keyboard, conference equipment etc.). Took me a couple of tries to figure out which usb port to use on laptops. Works exactly as described. Price is reasonable, other similar items were either out of stock or priced 2-3 times more.
