[0.14 lb] I bought this for a very specific, maybe novel purpose, but its design makes it remarkably versatile for a number of applications. I added a 3/8 screw adapter to the top so that I can screw that into one handle of my compact, 5-surface diffuser/reflector. With the CAMVATE, I can now hang the reflector from my light stand and even tilt the reflector bottom out and up somewhat when needed. It's study but light enough to carry right in the reflector case. 5

[Proprietary] In setting up my home studio, I got four of these to hang lights and an overhead camera. The alternative was heavier and more expensive grip gear, and I felt it was worth trying the cheaper route and keeping it light. So far these work very perfectly. Find studs in your ceiling, and then place a thin piece of wood between the ceiling and this base, and you're golden. I recommend beefier screws than the included ones, however. 5
