[0.08 lb] This is a nice cable with a major feature not mentioned in the B&H description. It is designed to connect a professional piece of gear like a Sound Devices 7xxT series recorder (with built-in timecode generator) to an iDevice like an iPad. The purpose being to jam-sync recorder timecode into an app like Movie-Slate. The trick is that the recorder with the LEMO connector drives signal out at line level and the iPad input is at Mic level, about a 100:1 mismatch. Remote Audio carefully designed an attenuator circuit into the cable so that there is no level mismatch. I tested the cable with the Denecke and Ambient TC apps and they both work fine, although the signal level is a little hot. The signal level with Movie-Slate is a little low but works well with no problems. This means RA carefully chose the attenuation value to be right down the middle so all the typical iPad TC apps work properly. I had a few email Q's and A's with RA and they were totally nice and informative about this and a couple other cables I bought. Great company. Great cable. I also bought two other TC cables from RA, both very nice. 5
