This Broncolor Softbox 3.9 x 1' - Photography Lightingis a 3.9 x 1' light modifier that creates an even, diffuse light. This type of soft light is useful in product and portrait photography. The amount of diffusion can be adjusted via a removable baffle and front panel. Also, it is able to accept grids and other light modification accessories.

Included with this softbox are four rods for constructing and attaching the box to a light via an optional speedring. Also, it comes with the interior baffle, a front diffuser panel, and a transport bag for storage.

Q: 1. How deep is this soft box? It seems shallow. Also, does the outer scrim stay pretty tight and wrinkle free?

A: It is shallow but that was one of the reasons we bought it, our older soft box was probably 1-2 feet deeper (easily) and took up much more space. We have only had the box a few months but as of yet, it has stayed wrinkle free.

A: Yes you can use with your Siros L

Q: 3. does this softbox fit on broncolor litos head ?

A: Yes, this softbox will work with the Litos lampheads when used with the correct speed ring: Broncolor Speedring for Broncolor Flash Systems B&H # BRSRB, MFR # B-33.401.00.

Q: 4. Hi will the Broncolor Siros L 400 be sufficient to fill the softbox if i'm shooting at a large depth of field e.g f8 and focus stacking?

A: Hard to say. what we can say is that the following strobe will illuminate the following light shaping tool with no problem.

Q: 5. Do you have access to the area in front of the lamp through the back of the softbox to add a gel for example or only access through the front of the softbox?

A: It is very small to reach in from the back of the Broncolor Softbox (3.9 x 1'). Best is to add gels and such from the front by pulling the front diffuser off.

A: Yes, the speedring that will work with that softbox and Paul C Buff flash heads is Impact Speed Ring for Paul C. Buff, Balcar, Flashpoint Series 1, B&H # IMSRPCB MFR # SR-PCB.

A: This softbox can turn depending on the speed ring being used.

[2.85 lb] Very soft light, well diffused and great quality material! This puppy is HUGE, but exactly what I wanted for full length portraiture and such. Don't forget to purchase a separate speed-ring, if you don't already have a spare. 5

[2.85 lb] This softbox is huge but very easy to set up and is a great option for lighting large groups. Watch out for lens flare. You may need a flag if you're shooting towards the modifier like in the 1st image 5

[2.85 lb] Super large very uniform source allowing for wrap-around soft light at close range. Well constructed and easy to assemble. I'm using it with Profoto Pro heads (flat front lights fit but Acute and Pro heads with protruding flash tubes spread the light better). The 4 supporting rods pull apart and fold in half like tent polls with bungee cords. The case is ~ 48 long but if needed you can get the collapsed reflector and folded polls in a 24-25 suitcase. Removing the rods from the speed ring is not obvious and was a struggle at first. The best way to disassemble the rods from the speed ring is to lay the box on a soft surface - speed ring down - reach into the open face of the box and push down on opposing rods near the speed ring to flatten them. Once the rods are straight at the edge of the speed ring they pull out easily and disassembly is as quick as assembly. Highly recommended! 5
