This Broncolor Octabox 75 cm Softbox for Photographyis an octagonal-shaped softbox with a diameter of 75 cm (29.5"). The Octabox diffuses and softens the light from a strobe unit. It also produces rounded catchlights excellent for portrait photography.

Included with this softbox are 8 rods for constructing and attaching the box to a light with an optional speedring. Also, it comes with a front diffusion panel, an interior baffle, and a transport bag for storage.

A: Not aware of any such product made by Elinchrom, Perhaps they meant the Deflector plates which is listed in the accessories on this item.

Q: 2. What is the depth of this octabox please?

A: The Octabox 150 is 41cm or about 16 deep.

Q: 3. Could someone be so kind to tell me the measures of the black fabric (ideally in cm)? Also does B&H have this kind of fabric? I do not have broncolor mount and would love to do something DIY... thank you!

A: The inner mask area is approx. 90x150cm, with a 15cm border on each side which allows light to pass through. The material is an opque double-layered non-reflective black fabric.

Q: 4. Can you please suggest a compatible speedring to use this softbox on paul c buffs Einsten 640 monolights?

A: Not true... Just buy the broncolor balcar speedring. Or any speedring for that matter that supports balcar. Q: 5. Is it fairly easy and quick to setup and break down? And once the rods have been removed from the speed ring can they remain attached to the softbox itself for storage? And lastly can the inner and outer diffuser stay attached when stored?

A: Hello Shawn,Yes, it is perhaps the easiest to assemble and breakdown of all Broncolor softboxes. You can leave the rods. I never remove them. I leave the inner diffuser attached; not the outer because it becomes bulkier and more difficult to put inside the bag; however, I have done it when I am in a hurry and it works.

A: 4.96 Lb or 2.25 kg.

Q: 7. Does this ship with two different bags, a round and a flat storgae bag ? Thanks.

A: The Elinchrom Rotalux Octabox (100 cm / 39") comes with one case.

Q: 8. Does this softbox come with a bulb? Does it also include a tripod/boom stand?

A: The softbox is sold standalone, so you'll need to add a speed ring for the corresponding lamp (sold separately) you'll be attaching it to. No bulb or stand is included.

[Yes] This is my 2nd soft box from Broncolor and the build quality is exceptional! I havent had the chance to actually use it too much but so far initial impressions are excellent with very soft light throughout. Setup and take down is OK, much easier than my 30x180 strip box. Overall, very excited about this Octa! 5

[Yes, Removable] Made of durable materials and amble room in the softbox bag to store the speedring. Easy to assemble / take down and it does the job well - Im not sure how they do it - but the light is much nicer than cheap-o softboxes. ... And of course it is a nicer catch light in the eyes than a square softbox. 5

[Yes, Removable] This Octabox is made of nice thick durable material that can last for a long time. It assembles easily and has silver finish inside. Inner diffuser can be attached by snap in buttons and outer diffuser by means of Velcro. It produces nice even lighting with a nice catch light. 5
