The USB ports are rated 3.1/3.2 Gen 1 which can handle 10Gb/s. If your drives have their own power source, then this will perform well, if not then the dock will not be able to supply enough power.

[Aluminum] HDMI works great and USB-A ports are super handy for devices that are not USB-C. Devices connected wake from sleep just fine unlike some other adapters I tried. 5

[Bus Powered] I bought this device specifically for downloading photos that I take from my camera onto my tablet. It performs exactly as expected and I really like the aluminum enclosure protecting the inner workings of the device. I haven't yet tried out the ports other than the SD card reader slot so I have no thoughts on the workings of these ports. 5

[Aluminum] I am having a love hate relationship with the MacBook Pro M1 I have more than one external hard drives for Lightroom to be portable. The M1 has 2 C ports. One for the power plug, leaving one for memory card, external hard drive and monitor. This Pro Hub adapter works like a charm! 5

[Bus Powered] I recently bought a M1 Mac mini and am loving it, but one of the only drawbacks is it doesn't have many ports. My other accessories use up most of the available ports on it and I thought I was going to have to buy multiple adapters until I saw this. This is exactly what I was looking for! I have plenty to work with now and it works great! Definitely recommend if you need more ports. It's a little pricey, but I'd gladly only have one adapter versus more plugged into my computer. 5
