Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a Better Beamer that fits the on camera flash on my Sony RX10m4?

A: No, there is no Better beamer that fits the built in flash on the Sony RX10 IV camera.

Q: 2. How many amps does this product use when plugged in?

A: As per the manufacturer, the unit will draw 0.9 amps for about 100 watts when plugged into an AC outlet.

Q: 3. Will it need shims for the FX-6 to fit the godox TT685N thinklite flash?

A: We have not tested it. But many customers seem to be able to use the FX-6 without any shims when using it with the Godox TT685N.

Q: 4. Is the FX-6 the correct model for the Nikon SB-5000?

A: This is compatible only with the SB-900 and SB-910 flashes.

Q: 5. Is it possible to mount a gimbal head on this? Will it require any additional quick release plate?

A: I suppose you could. I use a Gimbal head but never felt the need to attach it to the panning plate. When using the panning plate I was in a safari vehicle with open roof and beanbags. I just mounted the lens to the panning plate and kept shooting. You would need to put a Swiss arca plate on the bottom of the Gimbal head and then put the head on the panning plate if you want to mount your gimbal head there.

Q: 6. Is there a Better Beamer model that fits the Canon EL-1?

A: The Better Beamer has not been tested with the Canon. The Visual Echoes FX6 Better Beamer Flash Extender should fit but the EL-1 is a touch larger than the listed compatible flash.

Q: 7. Hi, i looking for a model for fomito godox tt685 c please can you tell me which model what i need? thank you

A: Sorry, Visual Echos does not make a model listed for the Godox line of flashes. Here is a snoot that might work for you. However, it does not have diffusion. Vello 8 Snoot/Reflector for Portable Flash B&H # VEFD410.

Q: 8. Will this fit a hammerhead flash like the Sunpak 555 or Metz 45 series?

A: Unfortunately not. This is not large enough for those flashes. They do not make one large enough to work with those.

Q: 9. What is the beam angle? How is the fall off area? Any strange hotspots around the edge of the beam?

A: The Visual Echoes FX6 Better Beamer Flash Extender creates a beam angle approximating a 300mm lens--an angle of view of 8° 10'. No strange hotspots have been reported. Fall-off is normal.

Q: 10. Will this work with Sony A1 & Godox V1?

A: Yes, the Visual Echoes FX6 Better Beamer Flash Extender BH #VIFX6 will work with the Godox V1 and Profoto A1.

[Download] For those interested in small and portable synth setups, there isn't much when it comes to battery operated delay units. This is where the Monotron Delay comes in. The internal synth isn't bad and good for noodling around, but once you route a TE Pocket Operator (or any battery powered synth for that matter) through the audio in and delay, you'll see why this little machine is great for small/portable setups. Sure the delay is lo-fi, and maybe this machine could be about $15-20 less for the build quality, but still worth it.

[Download] The Korg Monotron Delay is a very immediate and fun sound design machine and processor. What's especially unique about it is that the filter comes after the delay. You can process incoming audio or the oscillator and control the tone of the repeats with the onboard filter, which is taken from the MS20 synth and is a personal favorite of mine. There is no resonance control to the filter but it's set at a very tasty level. This makes for a very creative sonic landscape. The internal oscillator is a saw waveform and can be modulated with either a triangle or a square LFO. Matched with the delay, this delivers some very spacey and interesting sounds. I would say the Monotron Delay is best suited for external processing and making samples. The ribbon controller doesn't offer any precise control and to get a precise pitch is pretty difficult. The ribbon controller offers continuous control of pitch, so sweeps are possible by running your finger up or down the ribbon. I used mine to make a sample library, incorporating the delay in my sound design as the layering of repeats with the filter and the modulation of the LFO makes for some pretty large sounds. I really like how fast the LFO goes. It goes into the audio range for analog-FM style tones. The real magic of this synth comes with the automation of the parameters, delivering hands on motion to otherwise static sounds. A vast array of sonic textures can VERY easily be coaxed out of this with little prior experience. The Monotron Delay delivers wild sonic textures that are at home in any electronic music track looking for something to give it some grimy analog grit.

[Download] I am an electronic producer and use Ableton quite a lot. I recently acquired the Uhbik FX bundle and what can I say? This bundle is an amazing deal for the money! Each element of this package provides a powerful, complex set of options in a neat and intuitive package. The beauty of these effects is that they maintain their complexity without sacrificing a simple and easy to understand user interface.

[Download] Consider the monotron delay a dynamite toy for grown folks. It's function is not necessarily musical and I don't use it directly in my musical pursuits, but it provides an abstract function that feeds my music in the intangible. As a tool for meditation it is far out indeed.

[Download] Alright I'm a Korg fan. Have the Monotron Duo, which is awesome especially since you can play it in tune, but the Delay is extra amazing. It is way more versatile than any youtube video would lead you to believe...just subtle alterations of the knobs open gateways to truely otherworldly sounds. Think 50s science fiction movies. I use a Nintendo DS stylus on the ribbon controller, works better than fingers. Excellent machine at an unbeatable price for making burbling, crazy noises to compliment your tracks. Pure fun.
