Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will these work for Canon RF 50mm F1.2 lens?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the Canon 50mm 1.2.

Q: 2. Does this vignette on the Fuji new 23mm/1.4 v2 wr lens?

A: Yes, the following hood is designed and made for lenses 50mm and longer.

Q: 3. If I put a 58-77mm step up ring and an ND filter on before this lens shade, will there be any vignetting? The question is assuming a 50mm lens on a full frame camera.

A: It's possible you may slide by, it's hard to tell other than trying it.

Q: 4. Can you still use a lens cap while this lens hood is mounted on the lens?

A: Yes, but do so by capping the front of the hood, not the lens. Use a Nikon 82mm lens cap, B&H part B&H # NILC82. This will work very well because the hood has frontal filter threads, sized for 82mm filters.

Q: 5. Is this lens hood reversible? I would like to use this on the Fujifilm XF 35mm f/1.4 R lens (53mm equivalent).

A: Unfortunately, the Sensei PRO 52mm Aluminum Lens Hood is not reversible.

Q: 6. Will this work on the Canon Rebel T5?

A: Hi! It'll depend on the lens actually. Not the camera. If you have the basic kit of the t5 with the 18-55 lens then yes. It will. The hood will fit any 58mm lens. In my case I also have a t5 and two lens with 58mm so it works with both lenses!

Q: 7. Have Canon EOS 18-55mm lens, thread size 58mm. Will this lens hood fit and work okay?

A: No, Sensei PRO 58mm Aluminum Lens Hood BH #SELHM58 works best for lenses 50mm and Longer (Full Frame). For the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens BH #CA1855EFS, we would recommend the Sensei PRO 58mm Wide Angle Aluminum Lens Hood BH #SELHMW58 https://bhpho.to/2Y6OWDk.

Q: 8. Will the Sensi PRO 67mm Aluminum Lens Hood fit a Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM Lens (67mm)?

A: As the Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM Lens has 67mm front filter threads, yes, the Sensei PRO 67mm Aluminum Lens Hood would fit on the front of the Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM Lens.

Q: 9. Will the standard hood vignette on a 45mm lens (full frame sensor)?

A: There is no vignette on a 45mm lens on a full frame sensor when you use Sensei PRO 52mm Aluminum Lens Hood.

Q: 10. Would this fit the Tamron 70-200mm F/2.8 USD VC SP?

A: I do not own this particular Tamron lens. The specs on the B&H website say that it takes a 77 mm filter, so this should work just fine. These screw-on hoods work well with circular polarizers or variable ND filters. I use mine on both my Canon 70-200 f4 and my 100-400 II. Hope this helps.

[Aluminum] I own several of these rings in various sizes and they have held up well, threads and all. I use them to get a consistent thread size on all my lenses to attach a variable ND for video work. I am just adding to the collection.

[0.02 lb] I bought this, along with a UV filter, to use with my Vello Macrofier reverse macro adapter to protect the back side of my lens. I screwed the 60mm side to the adapter and then used a normal 58mm filter(reversed)

[Aluminum] Simple step-iup ring from a 58mm lens to a 60mm filter. All metal construction, solid, nice threads. Does the job with no complaints.

[0.02 lb] Not too much to say about it. Seems well made and it will work for my intended purpose - placing a 77mm night time hydrogen alpha filter on the end of my telescope so that it fits just inside the dew shield without falling off.
