Steinberg Dorico Pro 4 Advanced Music Notation Softwareis an advanced music-notation software that helps you write music notation, automatically produce high-quality printed results, and play back your music with natural-sounding realism using either the provided HALion Symphonic Orchestra library or any VST 3-compatible virtual instrument. With a full set of effects and flexible audio routing, you can even mix directly in the software.

Combining a simple, streamlined user interface—that fits comfortably on a single display—with fast keyboard access to every feature, Dorico 4 is easy enough for anyone to learn. Seamlessly insert notes, individual beats or bars, change bar-number sequences, delete or insert barlines, rebar music into new meters, and the software automatically ensures the music is notated clearly and correctly. You can also manipulate MIDI events directly in the built-in piano-roll editor.

When the time comes to take your project to the next stage, export MIDI to Cubase or other DAWs. When printing, you can create multiple output formats with different combinations of instruments and page and stave sizes, all within a single project file, and then export press-ready true monochrome PDFs with a single click.

Key Editor in Write mode: With the introduction of a dedicated Key Editor in the lower zone in Write mode, it's now easier than ever to shape the MIDI performance of your music notation.

Smart MIDI import: Powerful new MIDI import workflow intelligently interprets incoming tracks and remembers your choices for future imports.

On-screen keyboard, fretboard, and drum pads: Click or tap notes into the score from the piano, input guitar tab directly by touching the string and fret on the fretboard or see all of the percussion instruments in your kit at a glance with the drum pads.

Polyphonic MIDI transcription: Whether you're using the new smart MIDI import workflow or recording music in real time from your MIDI keyboard, Dorico 4 now automatically separates the music you play into separate voices, producing a much cleaner transcription of your input than ever before.

Insert mode scope: Change the scope of Insert mode operations: Edit only the current voice, edit all voices on the current instrument, or edit all instruments in the flow, making it easier than ever to create cadenzas or free rhythm sections.

Melodic and rhythmic transformations: Common melodic and rhythmic transformations such as rotation, inversion, and reversal are now all just one click away.

Revamped Play mode and Mixer: Choose between showing the essential controls in the lower zone or showing the Mixer as a separate window, for full control over channel EQ, insert effects, and more.

Native Apple Silicon support: Dorico 4 runs natively on Apple's M1-powered Macs. Some editing operations are as much as twice as fast on Apple Silicon than on in Intel-powered Macs.

Library Manager: See the differences between the options and styles in two projects at a glance and selectively apply changes from one to the other.

Jump bar: Quickly access all of Dorico's commands from your computer keyboard. Just type J, then a few letters of the command you want to execute, and hit Return. The jump bar also makes it easy to navigate anywhere in your project, jumping instantly to any page, bar, or rehearsal mark of your choosing.

Instrument filters in galley view: You can now focus in on the instruments you're interested in simply by selecting them and hiding all of the others.

SuperVision: A fully customizable, multimeter audio analyzer plug-in is now included with Dorico 4.

Capos for fretted instruments: Dorico 4 allows you to define a full or partial capo for a fretted instrument and produces transposed notation, chord symbols, and chord diagrams accordingly.

Easily show optional or alternate chord symbols by enclosing them in parentheses.

Automatic score order and soloists: When adding players and instruments to your project, Dorico automatically orders them according to the conventional orchestral score order, so you can rest assured your instruments will be in the order the conductor will expect when perusing your score.

User-defined project templates and ensembles: To quickly add multiple instruments to your project, the revamped Ensemble Picker allows you to use standard orchestral shorthand for woodwind and brass, or you can type standard abbreviations for instruments. Once you've set up your project exactly the way you want it, save it as a project template for future use; it will then appear in the Hub alongside Dorico's built-in project templates.

Bracketing for figured bass: Building on the comprehensive support for figured bass introduced in Dorico 3.5, Dorico 4 adds a sophisticated set of tools for adding square brackets and parentheses to figured bass, allowing you to bracket individual figures or even accidentals independently, or enclose multiple figures at different rhythmic positions within a single set of brackets.

Improved staff labels: Players holding multiple instruments, like percussionists, can now be labeled using their player name rather than the names of individual instruments.

Q: 1. Dose this software support Arabic language text ?

A: No. This software does not support any of the script fonts. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.

Q: 2. When i connect to computer . The light indicator of the usb shows me on/off,on/off ... . Not stable. What is the reason?

A: Not all USB cables are the same. You might try several brands or styles before you find one that works consistently. In general, I find that USB C to USB micro or mini cables tend to not work, or worse, work for a while then lock up with a SoundDesign MixPre 10. According to their tech, USB cables need pull-up resistors to work properly. Maybe true for Steinberg I/O too.

Q: 3. The reviewer mentions a remote to switch the Input to HDMI. Can you please link that here so I can purchase it?Thanks,Sandeep

A: According to MagiCue, their current software does not use a remote. The teleprompter requires a computer to be connected directly by wire. The provided software will then allow whatever control is needed.

Q: 4. Will this software work on Mac El Capitan?

A: Yes. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.

Q: 5. Is the Steinberg UR22 USB-C compatible?

A: It is a USB 2.0 device with 2.0 interface. It will work with USB-C with the appropriate adapter and if the USB-C host auto negotiates below C. Most do.

Q: 6. What controllers work with this software and are controllers universal between different softwares?

A: The Contour Design Shuttle-Xpress NLE Multimedia Controller (Black), B&H # COSXB, will allow you to control this software. https://bhpho.to/2WRmbPk

Q: 7. What type of Tripod Mount does it have? 1/4 and/or 3/8?

A: Yes. It has both. There is one 3/8 -16 hole in the center, and it is flanked by two 1/4 -20 holes. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.

Q: 8. is there anyone who can give the total dimensions of the prompter ? Has it a 4/3 or a 16/9 screen ?Does the horizontal bar to mount the camera on the back is easily removable ?Thank you

A: Teleprompters in general will be designed with a monitor that is closer to 4:3 than 16:9, including this item from MagiCue. This also features tool-less assembly and folds flat for transport and storage, because of that it should be easy to adjust the horizontal bar and mount cameras off and on it.

Q: 9. Does this have a USB hookup for a foot pedal?

A: No, additional software is needed in order to do so. Please review the following items that is need to integrate a script pedal MagiCue Pro Software for Studio & Presidential Prompters https://bhpho.to/2WHM1pq foot pedal of choice

Q: 10. can this software sync with the icue app for ios?

A: No it does not appear that it will work with the icue iOS app

[Standard] Im not a Musician. I work in video. I was tired of depending on musicians and audio sites to help finish out my projects. I know enough about music, that with this product im dangerous! Its exciting and very easy to learn if you have to passion for it.

[Standard] Been having a lot of fun making sounds with Jura. Very easy to use and got it pretty quickly. I was able to install it on my mac and on my MPC X.

[Standard] I've been using protools for about 10 years in my recording studio and I think is the best software for record, edit and mix music. I got this version for working in my laptop and now I can work everywhere. The native plug ins woks very well and you can get others of your preference that run well too. For shure I will continue using protools in the future.

[12 GB ] Hands down the best DAW I've worked with for fine tuning and comping vocals.

Mixing a feature film right now and I wouldn't be able to do it without Pro Tools.

If you're mixing film audio I'd suggest not using any OS newer than Big Sur to insure that the Pro Tools Video Engine works properly.

If I were to go back and play it safe I would use Catalina and the previous version of Pro Tools to avoid and plugin or compatibility issues. Will save you a lot of headaches down the road.

[12 GB ] This box is an upgrade from my presonnus audio box, I hate dealing with steinberg for anything because of poor customer service, needless to say I was shocked when I got this interface to work within 2 minutes of hooking it up, no hoops to jump through, no lengthy registration process, just plug n go. My system is a amd 8320 octocore processor/32 gb ddr3 1600, 2tb 7200rpm hdd, and stock amd r9 video card.i have everything hooked up to a pair job lsr305s.I use ableton live 9.5 and komplete 10, the box works great at 24/96000, eats up some extra cpu once you crank the resolution to 24/192,000, but that is to be expected I guess. Over all its a good buy, and it sounds better than any presonnus, or focusrite box I've tried.

[Retail Box] Im using the UR22 as an interface with my laptop using Cubase Elements 9.5. My setup is ultra simple. A Yamaha MOX6 and tons of plug ins. You may have heard that the UR22 monitors in mono which is true. A bit of getting used to. But then on playback oh my...flawless. This thing is 24 bit 192k and it sounds it. This unit defines bang for the buck. A gem.

[12 GB ] I was debating (and saving) to purchase this program (that I studied and learned in college) when I came across this version, at the same time I had just enough to make the purchase. This is a wonderful program tried and true, top of the line. Any DAW will help you arrange music, but just like cars, some fit differently. A Chevy cobalt will get you to your destination as well as a Rolls Royce. They will both technically do their job of getting you to your destination, but one will feel just right, comfortable, natural. That's what this program is. Comfortable (since it's what I learned on) an extension of my creativity, like a piano or my voice. Thank you B&H, sent from above in his perfect time, for providing this deal when I needed it. This is the Rolls Royce of DAWs for me.

[3] If you get this, I needed a firmware and driver update. It was not working right. But the firmware is right on the Steinberg web site, and easy to install.

[Yes] I have only had the Electribe for 10 days or so, but so far it is one of the more useful rhythm tools I have used. I play mostly folk, blues, and world-type music but I have already developed some excellent rhythm tracks using mostly the percussion section and going light on the filters that significantly modify sound. Another positive factor is that while simple to use initially, a person could spend months experimenting with the different sounds and filters. I also like that it is both a box that will essentially play the rhythm track for you or you can play it as an instrument. While I would like a song mode, it does have a Pattern Set process that allows you to string many four-bar pattern sets in a row by just touching a button before the end of the last beat of the fourth measure of a pattern. I would like to have eight measures instead of four and the Chord function would be more useful if it displayed the chords being played. As usual, ordering from B & H was easy and the delivery was prompt. I love the free Expedited Shipping.

[1 ] When I discovered my Focusrite was not compatible with my iPad, I looked for another solution. I subsequently learned about Steinberg converters from watching Pete John's YouTube channel. He showed a UR-12 in one of his videos so I decided to follow his lead. I needed two input channels to connect my Roland so I purchased the UR-22. It has performed flawlessly. For the price point it is a fantastic buy considering its quality construction. I'm now considering a UR-44 for the additional routing advantages.
