Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II

Nikon Z5, Z6, Z7, and Z9 — due to a weaker magnetic force within these four compatible cameras, the filter has to be attached while the camera is laid on its back, with the lens mount facing up; after the filter is secured magnetically and the lens is mounted, the filter will stay firmly in place, and you can then freely move the camera

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this filter sit in-between the sensor and the adapter, or in-between the adapter and the lens?

A: This filter will mount inside the adapter. It slides into the opening in the adapter.

Q: 2. Can these filters be used at full 11mm zoom on Canon 11-24 f4 lens? Read somewhere that some of these rear mount filters can damage lens and not recommended to use filter in the lens rear filter slot at the widest zoom because the rear glass element will hit the filter.

A: Yes it can be used throughout the full zoom range on the 11-24mm and it will not damage the lens.

Q: 3. Can this be mounted directly to a Westcott Flex 1x1 panel, without using the scrim jim frame?

A: Unfortunately, a Scrim Jim frame is required to mount this diffusion panel to a Westcott Flex 1 x 1.

Q: 4. How does this one differ from the Signature II edition? Using a RED V-Raptor, Canon RF: 24-70, 15-35,100-500 for motorsports.

A: The PolarPro 82mm Peter McKinnon Mist Edition II VND ND64 to ND512 Filter (6 to 9-Stop) would have both diffusion and a variable ND filter built into one frame while the Signature II Edition would be just a variable ND.

Q: 5. Is it specifics fin Nikon Zmount

A: This is a specific filter for the Z mount 14-24 F/2.8

Q: 6. Does this filter work for the solar eclipse?

A: Yes, the Aurora-Aperture Adapter Mount Format PowerND 4.8 Filter for Nikon FTZ Lens Mount Adapter (16-Stop) can work for solar photography but I would recommend a filter that goes onto the front element of the lens to avoid any damage that can pass through internally.

Q: 7. Is it available for Canon EF 14mm F2.8L II USM??

A: Yes it is.

Q: 8. Does this filter vignette with a Canon 10-22 lens at 10mm on crop sensor camera?

A: A super-wide such as this lens will inherently vignette. The filter is a high level of quality and does not add any noticeable distortion to photos.

Q: 9. Do these filters work on both the EF-L and the SA-L version of the MC-21 converter?

A: The Aurora-Aperture Adapter Mount Format PowerND 3.6 Filter for Sigma MC-21 Lens Mount Adapter (12-Stop) is compatible with the Sigma MC-21 Mount Converter/Lens Adapter (Sigma EF-Mount Lenses to L-Mount Camera) and the Sigma MC-21 Mount Converter/Lens Adapter (Sigma SA-Mount Lenses to L-Mount Camera).

Q: 10. Are there any other filters offered for this version other than the included filter?

A: There are quite a few listen on the Kase website as well as these ones: KANDFSN1424

[Aluminum] I decided on the 3-stop version because I was looking for a little help during sunny days and this has worked perfectly. The magnet slaps right on place and is easy to remove with anything that has a thin corner like a guitar pick or a credit card. No more ND filters dependent on diameter size!

[Aluminum] It is a filter with the appropriate settings for use in both photos and videos, especially when the sunlight is not strong or the day is cloudy. Additionally, its internal use makes it convenient by eliminating the need to recalibrate a gimbal when removing or attaching it. It has a minimal impact on the white balance, which is very easy to correct. Highly convenient as with just one filter, I can use an infinite variety of lenses.

[Glass] 4 stop ND but as advertised. Know exactly how many stops used rather than VND with imprecise wheel.

[Aluminum] I use a wide range of lenses, from cheap primes to large zooms, and my filter sizes vary across the range. With these clip-in filters, I can attach ND filters and shoot video with both RF and adapted EF lenses with no issues.

This 3 stop ND was perfect for shooting a music video outside in sunny Los Angeles, and the 1/8 Mist had just a hint of glow to highlights without killing the contrast.

I own all three 1/8 mist (0-stop, 3-stop, and 6-stop), and I have one in my camera at all times. Looking to try the 1/4 mist at some point to compare.
