Q: 1. I want to know if I can use it with Aputure 600d pro ? Thank you

A: The Aputure 600D supports power from a generator or wall outlet.

Q: 2. will this pack work with the 102 flash heads?

A: I use it with the 202VF heads and it works perfect so there should be no reason we it wouldn't work with the 102s.

Q: 3. I don't understand the note(When powered from AC, only 220V modeling lamps and heads may be used.) is there any specific 220v head and modeling lamp?

A: You can use a Speedotron 102 Black Line - 2400 Watt/Second Lamphead with 7" Reflector and UV Coated Flashtube, B&H # SP102UV7 and use a 220V modeling lamp inside of it like the Speedotron Modeling Lamp for 103 Flash Head (150W/220V), B&H # SPML150103X. The flash tube doesn’t need to be changed in this case. https://bhpho.to/39tgJnV https://bhpho.to/2TECquH

Q: 8. I have a 1500 solar generator and I may need a new battery. I have not charge it for some time and I have had it plugged in for more that 24 hours and the indicator light is still red. Any suggestions, or will I need to buy a new battery??

A: You probably need a new battery... If a battery goes below a certain voltage for any period of time it can damage the cells. I charge mine to full every two months or so... It keeps the battery healthy and its always ready for me when we lose power. I hope that helps.

Q: 9. How long would this device last if I had TWO Nanlite PavoTube 30C RGB LED Tube Lights (4') plugged in?

A: I wanted to compare the results with the Explorer 1000 in a test I used for the Explorer 300. I had wanted to test the battery life of the Explorer 300 in a photography setting, so I attached the powerful 150W Godox SL-150 II video spotlight to it and turned the spotlight on to 100% output. I started with a 100% charge on the Explorer 300 at 8:57 AM, and monitored it throughout the day. I got roughly 5.5 hours out of powering the light with the Explorer 300. I ran the same test with the Explorer 1000, starting the test at 7:38 PM with a 100% charge. The light showed a draw of 57W. At 8:48 PM the draw showed at 59W and the state of charge was 92%. At 5:27 AM the draw was 58W and the state of charge was 33%. I had to leave for my work day by about 8:30 AM, and didn’t return home until about 5 PM, at which time the battery was 100% drained. Based on the math from these data points, I would expect that I could get between 14 and 15 hours of straight powering of the light…depending on how accurate the power meter on the front of the unit is.

Q: 10. How do I compare this to the Goal Zero Yeti 1500x? Are the two equivalent? What is the difference?

A: According to each website, they list the following Battery Specs. Jackery: Capacity: 1488Wh (36V, 41.3Ah) Cell Chemistry: Panasonic 18650 Li-ion Batteries Lifecycle: 500 cycles to 80%+ capacity Management System: BMS, Over Voltage Protection, Short Circuit Protection GoalZero: Cell chemistry: Li-ion NMC Pack capacity: 1516Wh (10.8V, 140.4Ah) Single Cell Equivalent Capacity: 421Ah @ 3.6V Pack Lithium Content: 126g Lifecycles: 500 Cycles to 80% capacity (Discharge rate: 1C, Full charge/discharge, Temp: 25C) Shelf-life: Charge every 3-6 months Management system: MPPT charge controller

Just used it in an airport shoot. No trip hazard so battery power was needed. Ive had Blackline traditional HEAVY power pack for awhile (2401A). To be honest it was gathering dust since I've moved to Canon 600ez-rt speedlights. The need for real power lights are less and less in this clean-high-iso-camera era that doesn't need the nuclear blast of a 45 lbs of 80's American engineering encased in heavy steel. But when you do need some portable powerhorses there are the newer kids in the block like Profoto, Hensel.... I was about to starve and give up drinking for few months so I can afford these hipster Euro units but this Digital Explorer came to rescue. Since I've had some black line heads I bought this wonderful workhorse. I was impressed with this unit. the consistency of output, the sturdy workmanship, the well thoughout case. The power is enough to go through big softboxes, 7 ft umbrellas or the like. The bad: You can only do 1:1 ratio or 1:2 ratio. The variable knob adjusts both lights at the same time. you can't adjust them separately . Black line users are used to this but the lack of other ratio makes it less flexible. But honestly, I think most will use to this to power just one head with a modifier. So its not that bad. The other bad. The menu system is horrible. its like trying to program your 90's VCR. But once you get used to it, it only takes a few minutes to check the battery level... sheesh. Its powerful, the flash duration is pretty fast (on 103's) battery life is not too bad and best of all you don't need to starve or give up drinking to buy one of these things!

Awesome battery pack. I use it on location and it works perfectly with my 202VF heads. The fans are disabled when using with the pack. The only drawback is the weight if you have an assistant holding it while shooting.

I've owned Speedotron for several decades and find it to be the most reliable strobe equipment. I was hesitant about this pack because it was a new design and didn't know how it'd hold up. After a few years on location my doubts are history. This pack is very versatile and at lowest power settings there is excellent flash-to-flash consistency. .1 stop according to my Minolta Flash meter. I was shooting on a football field late at night one time and when the sprinklers went off three feet away, I thought I'd see the power supply short out. Even though it got some water splashed directly on it, the pack didn't die. We finished the shoot and as a safety measure I sent it in to Speedotron's renown service department and it came back two days later without any problems or need of repair. The only down-side to this pack is its weight. It's about 25 lbs., of which 20 lbs. is the battery.

We do have occasional power loss and was looking for a clean solution for minimal devices. You can go from 100$ to thousands of $ for a good solution. I invested in Jackery Explorer 1000 for emergency needs. Lot son YouTube reviews out there and this unit has received great reviews. Should be plenty in case of a powerless to power light and many critical appliances. Holds the charge very well.

Have only tested it at home, but it has worked great so far and the app works fine. If you are into heavy camping, you might want to think about getting a model with more power storage.

We've only been using this for a few weeks, but it's pretty awesome. We wanted something lightweight for emergencies, and it meets our needs. Being able to check the charge and how quickly it's being depleted at a glance via the app is very convenient.

Great purchase to move your panels so that you can get full sun. Only wish the length was included with the original panels.
