Enable Stereo mode and iRig Pro Quattro I/O mixes all sources down to stereo for streaming or recording to an iOS/Andoid mobile device or Mac/Windows computer. Monitoring is easy thanks to a dedicated headphone output with independent volume control and direct monitoring. Or, use Mono mode for streaming to social media.
The Loopback function lets you send the signal playing on your device back into the recording or streaming app being used. This allows you to send your video playback, mouse clicks, web browser output, etc., straight into your live stream, podcast, or video recording.

With an onboard omnidirectional microphone and optional X-Y stereo mic capsules (available separately), iRig Pro Quattro I/O turns your mobile device into a full-featured professional field recorder.

The iRig Pro Quattro I/O can be used as a standalone preamp and mixer: just power it via battery, USB, or a PSU adapter (available separately), and use the full set of inputs/outputs to capture professional audio on your DSLR camera.

When the unit is set to Stereo or Mono mode, channels 3 and 4 are used as safety channels: this means that it is possible to send the same signal present on channels 1 and 2 to channel 3 and 4 but reduced by 12 dB as a distortion-free backup in case the sound source gets loud unexpectedly.

A: If you keyboard controller is MIDI compatible, you can connect it to the iRig Pro using the included MIDI cables. A: Hey Paul, Yes, the iRig Pro I/O will be Mac compatible and work with software like GarageBand.

Q: 3. The specs say "Digital Audio I/O: None", but does the device not sent digital audio through the usb or lightning connector?

A: The IK Multimedia iRig Pro Duo I/O 2-Channel Audio/MIDI Interface does send digital audio output to a compatible device when using the Mini-DIN output connector and any of the included cables which are Mini-DIN to Lightning, Mini-DIN to USB Type-C, or the Mini-DIN to USB Type-A .

Q: 4. I already use the irig pre. Recording eats my phone battery quickly. Thus I have it charging while Im using it, with a brick battery. Can I do the same with the duo?

A: You can use the optional PSU to power iRig Pro Duo, but it will not charge your device while in use. Alternatively you can use iRig Powerbridge to charge your device while you use iRig Pro Duo, but the Pro Duo would still need batteries.If you're currently using iRig Pre, you might consider the iRig Pro I/O. This is only one channel, not two like Pro Duo, but it does have an optional PSU that will both power the iRig Pro I/O and charge your iOS device at the same time.

A: While yes, Facebook would use the audio connected to the iRig for a live stream, please note that Facebook will only recognize the left input's audio since the app is in mono. For stereo connection to Facebook, you'd want to use a laptop or pc.

A: You can control the input gain on the microphone which would affect the volume in Facebook Live but it's not a pure volume control. But it should still work fine, I know many people using Pro I/O for Facebook streaming with no issues.
