The 77mm K&F Nano-X Magnetic Filter 77mm 3-Stop Adapter Ring Lens Capcomes with a magnetic adapter ring and a magnetic lens cap in a compact storage case. The adapter ring screws onto lenses that have 77mm front filter threads. The ND8 filter then magnetically attaches to the adapter ring and is just as easily removed when you want to swap in a different magnetic filter from K&F. The lens cap can be magnetically attached to the ND8 filter when you're done shooting and is also threaded for direct attachment to lenses.

The ND8 filter reduces the amount of light entering the lens by three stops, darkening the image a bit and creating a corresponding amount of cinematic motion blur in moving objects shot outdoors. The ND filter allows you to use longer exposures and slower shutter speeds. The filter features glass optics with 16 layers of coating with anti-reflection green film. The multicoating ensures optimal image quality and protects from water, oil, and scratches. The aluminum frame of the filter is ultra-slim and has a knurled exterior so you can better grip it with your fingers.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this fit Nikon 18-200 lens?

A: As a rule of thumb, the 77mm diameter is used in most Nikon lenses that are a fixed F2.8 aperture. If you have the lens, the size is printed on the barrel somewhere, usually near the glass or by the lens name on the barrel. Otherwise, look at the specs for the lens. It always has this diameter listed. Some F2.8 lenses are exceptions to this size: 105mm F2.8, 60mm F2.8 come to mind. But many of the pro-level Nikon lenses share the 77mm size, which is convenient for both the lens caps and filters. And this comment applies to zooms as well as fixed focal lengths, 17-35 F2.8, 28-70 F2.8, 70-200 F2.8, 12-24 F2.8 DX.

Q: 7. Does the 77mm lens fit the Nikkor 18-300 mm lens?

Q: 8. Does this fit the Fujifilm 100-400mm lens?

A: Yes. As the FUJIFILM XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens has 77mm filter threads, the FUJIFILM 77mm Lens Cap would be compatible for use on the FUJIFILM XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens.

[0.215 lb] This filter is a must-have if you want a close-up of the upcoming solar eclipse. It is very convenient to put on and take off - something you must be able to do to capture a total solar eclipde.

[Solid ND] I installed this on my Canon 16-35 lens for the eclipse on April 8th. The magnetic interface makes it easy to remove and replace on the lens while keeping it securely in place during shooting.

[5 x 4.4 x 0.8"] I don't know how I ever lived without these. They are so convenient to put on and take off, they're absolutely hassle-free and never jumping off your lens when trying to attach it. No fiddling around in your time of need, just on and off and done.

[0.215 lb] I intend to use this for the 204 solar eclipse. In the meantime, I can get nice shots of the sun's surface through my Canon mirrorless camera. I believe you should not use this to look directly at the sun, but through the mirrorless, no issues! I like the way the filter attaches via to the magnetic ring.

[Multi-Coating] Bought this system for a travel lens and found it to be better than expected. I bought the filter adapter ring also and love how quickly the cap and filter can be changed and how securely they fit on the lens.

[0.215 lb] I have a full set of the Xume magnetic filter rings and lens caps. One of the caps was lost and it was going to cost me $150 to replace it used since they don't make them anymore, shame. The Freewell caps work great and for much less. They are not a perfect fit, they move around just a little bit, but hey, it's a lens cap and the magnets grab and hold on. Great solution if you are in the same situation I was.

[Glass] It's a small thin adapter ring that gives Kase magnetic filters something to stick to. A warning, though: be sure the filters are fully stuck before letting go. The magnetic attraction isn't all that strong unless the filters are fully seated in the adapter. The ring is thin enough that lens shades can still slide over it without problems. It's a nice, convenient system that makes filter usage easy and quick.
