A: The safest position is 0 degrees. Depending on camera weight and dimensions (lens on a SLR, etc) it can be pointed a few degrees below or above horizon. I don't think more than 10 or 15 degrees with an SLR. It's a great product, excellent materials and resistance, yet small.
