[1.22 lb] I am using this with Quasar Science Q-LED Crossfade LED tube lights, and it is perfect.  It maintains a solid hold on the light, with no worry about it slipping or moving.  It can be used to grip in the middle or at one end.  The plastic jaws do not crush or mar the fixture at all.  The MQ Mount lives up to the quality and strength of Matthews products.



It needs to be used with a grip head (gobo head).  As a total solution, it is a little expensive and over-engineered, but I cant complain about the results.  It is so solid and worry-free, it is definitely worth the premium cost.

Compare this to the Kupo KCP-413, which I have also used: The metal spring clips are only so strong, and they scratched up the aluminum housing of the light the first time I tried it.  The built-in swivel is redundant, since it too must be used with a grip head.


I would definitely recommend this product for this application, and as I build up my collection of Quasars, I will be sure to have MQ Mounts to go with them.



I have NOT used this with bare Kino Flo tubes.

[Black] I own 8 of the 30C 4' tubes, the OG ones and I've been wanting a way to mount them vertically. The new lights have a 1/4 20 but these do not. I own several mounts but these really come in clutch, it's too bad they are hard to find.


The good part is they are metal construction. Basically they take 2 of the. clips they give you with the lights and mount them on this bracket and the bracket attaches to a metal foot. The clips could be replaced with the ones you have if you break one.


The legs are nice and sturdy, but due to the nature of it being foldable, every leg is a different size. Not a bad thing, but if you're ocd this might bother you visually.

[Black] I've worked with both the Astera and these SGC lights, and I recently bought the SGC 4 light kit. These grids are pretty much a must have accessory! I got two of them for the kit because generally the interview type work I do, that is all I need. They are a fraction of the cost of the Astera accessories, and if you were thinking you could even use most of the Astera accessories, you'd be wrong. The SGC tubes are about an inch longer and will not fit. So far, I am loving the SGC lights!

[1.22 lb] Use MQ Mounts with Nanguang/Nanlite Pavolite LED tubes. The mount is sturdy and reliable, and does not damage the tubes one iota.  Worth a bit extra to make sure your tubes are solidly mounted.

[Black] I was surprised when i received this IDX v-mount adaptor for my litepanels 1x1. It was indeed a very good and its match my litepanels prefectly. I will definely be getting more of this if i have more litepanels units.

[1.22 lb] Allows the LP 1x1 to go without AC Power. Makes the light significantly more portable. Mounts very easily to back of light.

[Black] The Impact T12-MM-BP is the perfect solution for holding tube lights like the Godox TL 30 and TL-60 or ANY tube light that does NOT exceed a T-12 type / thickness.

Whatever light brand you have, whether it is a Pavotube, Sutefoto, Amaran or others, make sure you read the manufacturer's specifications on how thick your tube is. You'll want to be looking for T-12 diameter.

The materials you find on the T12-MM-BP
are super tough ABS Plastic & CNC Aluminum Construction, which is miles away from the fragile cheap plastic clear holders that comes with the TL-60/30 that sometimes causes scratches on my light.

The T12-MM-BP will wrap around your tube light perfectly and without damaging anything. I find that, there's absolutely no need to strap "security" Velcro straps on anything around to help hold the tube lights. Once you tighten, and lightly, your tube light is not going anywhere. Don't over tighten! Just enough torque is sufficient. But if you want to put the lights overhead, you can add the Velcro's (not included) but I won't. No need.

The aluminum pin that mounts on a stand or anything else you may have, make sure it accommodates a 3/8-16 thread as these are designed for maximum sturdiness. No 14-20 support on these. And they have a hexagon shape and design, so, when you mount it on the top hole, they will never turn or rotate regardless of the position.

The threads, when screwing or unscrewing, it's so fast and fluid. No resistance whatsoever. It spins freely until it stops at the top or bottom!

When tightening the jaws, the mechanism will always be aligned. It opens and closes perfectly aligned. Everything to make your life easy they thought of.

You can stack as many Impact T12-MM-BP on top of the other as you need. I included pictures with this review so you can see plenty of examples there including mounting options.

[1.22 lb] This V-mount plate for my new Lite Panel works perfectly with my Sony V mount batteries, which seem to last almost a whole day when moving around to multiple locations. I got two!
