Send UHD 4K60 video at up to 200' and UHD 4K30 at up to 100' over a single Cat 6/6a/7 cable with this 4K HDMI Extender over Cat 6 from Sabrent. Ideal for extending the reach of HDMI 2.0 signals originating from a TV cable/satellite box, game console, or Blu-ray player, the HDCP 2.2 compliant transmitter and receiver units feature metal casing for proper heat dissipation and are powered with the included 5 VDC power adapters. IR pass-through function is supported, and the IR range coverage is 20 to 60 kHz. IR blaster and receiver extension cables are also included for operating with a separately available IR remote.

Q: 1. can it be connected to my actual cat 5 network, or i have to cable a dedicated?

A: Everyone's correct, you cant. And the ones that you can, bandwidth is much lower (even Gigibit Ethernet) so there is compression at 1080.

Q: 2. Is it possible to buy this kit and another receiver, so I can transmit the signal (audio and vdeo) to 2 tv's at the same time?

A: To be able to do that, you would need to either split the signal at the source into 2 wireless systems, or split the signal coming out of the receiver into your displays.

Q: 3. Will this system support multiple receivers from one transmitter?

A: According to DVDO, the Transmitter is only able to transmit a Wireless Signal to the One Receiver it is packaged with. Unfortunately the Transmitter is not able to send Multiple wireless signals to Multiple Receivers.

Q: 4. Will this run over Cat 5e?

A: Hi Ryan. These units only support CAT6 and above, so they won't work with CAT5e unfortunately. I apologize for the inconvenience!

Q: 5. If I convert the RJ45 to fiber optic is it still compatible?

A: This model needs a contiguous run of Cat cable. Nothing else can be in between. If you need longer runs you might consider fiber optic HDMI cables.

Q: 6. Are the two 5VDC adapters compatible with 220-240v?

[Cat 6/6a/7] I installed these in a sale barn between a 4K video camera and a large screen monitor. I used a 130' CAT6 cable between the transmitter and the receiver. The Extender worked perfectly. I give it 5 stars! 5

[HDMI RJ45] I was tasked with having users mirror their laptop on a tv (after the built was complete) without software and I have found the answer. A facility had just finished a renovation and the tv was mounted, power was installed and network drops were in place but no thought had gone into how to utilize the boardroom to its full potential. After much discussion with endusers and management the most cost effective way would be to use an HDMI extender without any software installation required (since most laptops are locked down these days). With cables plugged in (HDMI and CAT5/6) all is left for the user to do is to plug in HDMI to their laptop and we now have the laptop screen on the tv. Another great product from Startech.com. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. 5

[HDMI RJ45] I use about a dozen of these to send HDMI to various LCD/LED screens and a projector. I've never had any problems with them. 5

[1x RJ45 Female] I often like to show family members videos and pictures of our vacation and the kids from the computer on the TV. We also like to watch a lot of streamed content as well. My TV is not a smart TV so I can't stream content to it from my computer. I often have to copy everything to a USB stick and plug that into my TV. This eliminates that by being able to hook my computer from across the room to my TV as a monitor and watch media content on my TV from my computer without having to move it. Picture is clear without any degradation. The two units are small enough to tuck away out of sight. Did what I needed it to do. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. 5

[HDMI RJ45] The StarTech device worked great from the time we plugged it in. Since it only needs power at one end (and either end works), it was easy to install and is flexible. Liked it so much that we are replacing another extender of a different brand. 5

[Cat 6/6a/7] We tested the device over 100’ of cable with great results. The picture quality appears to be flawless and the fact that it only requires power on one end is definitely plus. Highly recommended! The small converters on each end are easy to hide and it was a simple install. 5

[8 x 5.8 x 3.2"] Have tried a couple others but mixed results. This one works with everything we plug in. Never worry about it not connecting. We have it at front of church to feed PA booth and another one that feeds projectors. The extra out on the transmitter means we can use signal for a monitor in back as well as big screen in front. Been a BH customer since the days of magazines. Always my first goto. 5
