The second-focal-plane reticle 60 is ideally suited for precise shooting with the least possible coverage of the target game. The illuminated dot is extremely bright and can therefore also be used for daytime hunting. The brightness of the illuminated dot can be dimmed, making it ideal for night hunting as well.

The secret behind the precision of ZEISS riflescopes is their ultra-fine illuminated dot and extremely low target coverage. With only a fraction of the thickness of a human hair, the fibre optics system delivers the world's finest illuminated dot—3.3mm target coverage at 100 meters is the breathtaking result. Pure precision for the smallest targets and the greatest distances.

The modern and sophisticated optical designs enhanced by the ZEISS T* multi-coating enables V8 riflescopes to achieve light transmission of up to 92%. The twilight capabilities are even further improved by the 56mm objective lens providing the perfect solution for hunting in low-light conditions.

20x magnification makes this model an ideal choice for long-range shots. The optical system provides consistently excellent image sharpness while yielding the highest resolution of details from minimum to maximum magnification settings.

The Ultra-FL Concept contains several SCHOTT fluoride glass elements for absolute color fidelity, brightness, and clarity, ensuring the finest resolution of details, even in the harshest conditions and most challenging environment.

ZEISS T* coating is a guarantee of the brilliant, high-contrast images which you will experience even in adverse light conditions and in the twilight.

ZEISS developed its LotuTec lens coating for riflescopes, binoculars, and spotting scopes to enable a clear and unhindered view in all weather conditions.

Testing demonstrated expected and necessary degree of stiffness, as well as maximum reliability, in terms of shooting stability. The V8 delivers the repeatability required for clip-on night vision accessory optics.

The multifunction illumination control button can be quickly, silently, and intuitively operated even with gloves on. The illumination is automatically deactivated as soon as you put the weapon down. It reactivates as soon as you take aim, a feature that saves time and energy and ensures an immediate and perfect aiming solution in any lighting condition.

Continuously shocked for 90 minutes, submerged 13' deep for two hours, sprayed for 24 hours with salt water, exposed to -13°F and 122°F temperatures—ZEISS riflescope testing assures performance in the field.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this product alcohol free? I could find another Zeiss production with label Alcohol and Ammonia free , but I do not see that label here.

A: If you want a cleaning liquid that's more than just water, it's going to have an organic solvent for carrying away oils. In this case, it's isopropyl alcohol.

Q: 2. What is the minimum interpupillary distance?

A: Nikon 20x56 Monarch 5 Binoculars (Black) BH #NI20X56M5 • MFR #7583 Interpupillary Adjustment 60 to 72 mm / 2.4 to 2.8"

Q: 3. How is the image stabilization disengaged when the camera has Image stabilization or camera attached to tripod?

A: When using a new E mount camera, the camera will detect the stabilization of a tripod and shut off the stabilization in the camera and the lens.

Q: 4. Do Zeiss wipes have an expiry date?

A: I contacted ZEISS concerning your inquiry. According to the manufacturer, the ZEISS Lens Wipes (60-Pack) may have an expiration date if one is printed on package. However, they are not aware of a specific expiration for these wipes. They have been used years after purchase and they were still good. They arrive in individually-sealed packaging.

Q: 5. What is the size of the actual wipe?

A: The approximate size of the wipe is 5x6".

Q: 6. What concentration of Isopropyl alcohol is used?

A: Isopropyl Alcohol 4-6 %W/W

Q: 7. I am looking for a case for this lens. The Pearstone 20 is ok for just the lens, but not with the lens hood on mounted backwards. Any suggestions for a similar case?

A: The lens as you know has a very wide diameter. I have a multi compartment case where the camera hands in the middle and a pouch on either side for extra lenses. It does fit in there, rather snug but I think it's OK

Q: 8. Would this remove gunk from a camera lens?

A: No. We suggest goo gone only to be used on the exterior of the lens. The following is good only for really cleaning lens glass.

Q: 9. Are you sure it is safe?

A: It is as safe as alcohol vapors.

Q: 10. Is this lens manual focus by wire lens, like fujifilm lenses, or is it a true manual focus, like zeiss lenses on canon body ? Thank you. Andrei

A: Focus by wire. I also own Zeiss manual focus lenses for canon and this is not at all similar in feel or function.

[Aluminum] This scope is the best scope I ever owned. It's perfect for long-range target shooting as well as for hunting. Use it on my Winchester 70 Alaskan .375 H&H. It's an outstanding scope and I really like the illumination and reticle.

[30 mm] I replaced a Leupold VX3 with this. I like the roughly 10yrds more of field of view at 4 power. The glass is clear from 4x all the way to 16x and the zoom ring is super smooth. The exposed elevation turret seemed a little large at first but is growing on me and is very easy to use/set new 0. Over all I'm very happy with the scope and think it will last many years. Only thing I'd like to see is it come with flip up caps instead of the rubber band caps.

[Aluminum] Overall this a very well designed scope. I was somewhat disappointed that it was made in Japan instead of in Germany. My only complaint with this scope is the windage, elevation and parallax turrets. The windage and elevation turrets lack an easily resettable zero feature. The turret cap must be removed in order to set your zero. The parallex turret lacks yardage markings. There are only rectangular shaped markings on the turret cap. When I contacted Zeiss about this their reply was Just change the setting on the parallax turret until the distortion goes away. IMO this is a very poor design for a riflescope that costs $1250.00. I want yardage indicators with numerical values that make the parallax easy to set. I also want easy reset to zero turrets. Set windage an elevation, lift the turret cap and reposition it to the zero indicator on the turret cap. Easy, except at Zeiss. The glass is exceptionally clear and the images are sharp. Other than the Parallax adjustment and windage and elevation turret adjustments, this is a very nice riflescope.

[2.8 to 20x] Mounted on my Rem 700 CDL in 7mm-08. Wanted a precise scope in 50-100 yards for shooting turkeys with neck shots. Addresses the requirement. Nice and clear, plenty of light. I am sure it is more than adequate for more distance, but this is what I bought it for. Good eye relief. Totally satisfied.
