Control your PTZ cameras, switch between different sources, and live stream your program with this 8-Channel Touch Broadcast Switcher and PTZ Controller from Jimcom. This portable switcher/controller unit has an HDMI input and an HDMI output and handles as many as eight video inputs at up to 1080p60 resolution when using the RJ45 port for IP connectivity, which also provides PTZ camera control. An integrated joystick gives PTZ camera users control over zoom, auto and manual focus, white balance, iris, shutter, gain, and more.

The panel has an integrated 4-channel audio mixer and a full HD, 10.1" display for previewing all the incoming sources and for switching as needed for different types of programming. Custom overlay content and text and logos are supported with a T-bar, facilitating manual control of transition special effects. A headphone output on the surface of the panel allows users to monitor audio. There is a port on the rear of the unit for tally connectivity. Live streaming uses H.264 and H.265 video encoding with bitrates between 512 and 16384 kb/s, and the network streaming protocols employed are RTSP and RTMP.

A: Because the Datavideo PTC-140NDI SDI/HDMI/NDI PTZ Camera with 20x Optical Zoom does not have NDI|HX2 or NDI|HX3, the PTZCam Switch N8 8-Channel NDI|HX2|HX3 Switcher and PTZ Controller is not compatible.

Q: 4. Can you reverse the direction of the hand wheel for a left-handed operator?

A: The operating direction of the handwheel of the DJI 3-Channel Follow Focus Controller can be inverted in the settings on the DJI High Bright Remote Monitor. Under General Settings Three-Channel Follow Focus, you can select an option to invert the direction of the focus knob, zoom stick or iris slider.

Q: 5. Is it compatible with Canon CR-N500?

A: If the Camera you select has NDI NDI|HX2|HX3 the PTZCam Switch N8 8-Channel NDI|HX2|HX3 Switcher and PTZ Controller should support control of the camera. However, this has not been tested by PTZcam at this time. The Canon CR-N500 does have NDI support though.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with NDI'HX2 and/or NDI'HX3 cameras?

A: At this moment the PTZCam Switch N8 8-Channel NDI Switcher and PTZ Controller supports only NDI/HX2 cameras.

Q: 7. Can a button be programmed to both change the input source (i.e. camera) and issue a preset with one press?

A: The PTZCam Switch N8 8-Channel NDI Switcher and PTZ Controller (B&H# PTZCSWITCHN8) can have a button programmed by using a preset to both switch to a certain source and switch to a certain color temperature for that source.

Q: 8. Are all PTZ functions pressure sensitive? Meaning the harder/further I push the joystick or rocker, the faster the function will go?

A: Yes, Both the Joystick and the zoom control will allow you to Zoom the lens or pan the camera at various speeds depending on how far you move them when using the FeelWorld KBC10 PTZ Camera Controller.

[1080p at 60] They got it right with this. As a user of the RC-IP100 I found it a bit basic but functional, but this new one takes it to a whole other level. Every control area now has dedicated knob for speed control on the fly, the feedback with the lit buttons for what is live and on preview is much clearer than the touchscreen of the 100 (Small red line) The Joystick has a button on top which makes it great for a quick AF and the design of the joystick is more comfortable. Touchscreen is much easier to read and faster. Shows the model number of each camera when you punch it up and the associated configuration. 300/500/700 were MUCH easier to add and configure quickly. The HDMI out pulls the IP stream of each attached camera and display it on the attached monitor you hook to it. It is the streaming feed so a bit pixelated but it may just be I need to configure it more. we use dedicated multiview in 4K but this is a handy feature. Larger GPIO to take advantage of more of the functionality compared to the small number on the 100 - If the 1000 could activate the REC light on XF-605's for tally this would be a welcomed update. POWER options- if you use POE to power it, either the touchscreen or a couple of the features are limited. It does not come with the 4 Pin power supply, so if you want no limits functionality add a 4 Pin 12v power supply. It does not come with it. One of my big questions was if I hook up both the 1000 and the 100 will they fight. And they are fully compatible being able to adjust cameras at the same time and even use the joystick and they are seamless. We can pas off cameras between them and adjust on the fly. I wanted to add this review because we managed to get one right away, and we are so impressed with it so far. [1080p at 60] PTZ camera operation can be really clunky with a computer and mouse only, but this controller makes it a much more enjoyable experience. Set up is a bit technical, and the dashboard isn't user-friendly at all, but once we started figuring what was where, it wasn't too terribly difficult to settle into a groove. If you're in the market for a good controller for your PTZ system, this is a great place to start. 5

[Analog] I received this unit less than a week ago, but am already truly amazed at the level of integration Skaarhoj has achieved (via unique Device Core config files) with my Panasonic PTZ cameras. The out of the box config for Pana AW-HEx models is great, but user can enter web interface (using great Kasper Skaarhoj demo videos) to change button labels, edit/add functions and customize, if desired. I know of no other controller for my cameras that has ALL these forms of controL: 1- PTZ Speed Control (while manipulating joystick), 2- PTZ Preset Speed (movement rate between presets), 3- Cruise Control which allows you start a slow zoom or pan movement with user-defined duration then go hands free and perform slow dissolves in/out of cruising shot. I plan to use feature #3 often. My kudos go out to the Skaarhoj team in Copenhagen! 5

[Analog] I got this controller to go with my AViPAS cameras at my church. We run 3 cameras with this controller and it works great. We programed the preset positions into the controller and it works best with that. 5

[1920 x 1080] This is a great unit and simple to operate. Touch screen controls and assignable controls make programming and on the fly operation a breeze. 100 presets guarantee that there will be plenty of pre set views for any show that you intend on streaming or broadcasting. 5
