Q: 1. What is the footprint of this stand?

A: According to Savage, the footprint diameter measures 35".

Q: 2. Are they dimmable?

A: The package includes a remote controller that will pair with up to 4 bulbs. Using the remote controller you can turn the bulbs on/off individually, or continuously dim/brighten the bulbs individually. I purchased two 30W bulbs, each came with a remote controller capable of controlling 4 bulbs.

Q: 3. Will it fit into the impact 10 inch reflector?

A: Unfortunately, this LED lamp is too wide to fit the opening on a Impact socket with a 10 reflector attached.

Q: 4. What is the actual max wattage? the listing says 50w/bulb for a total of 200w. but the product manual says 150w/bulb for a max of 600w. but the sets come with 32w bulbs. so what is actual max the light head can handle without, ya know, blowing up?

A: It is important to note that there is a difference between the actual draw and the equivalent outputs. This fixture can handle up to 4x 50w E26 lamps worth of actual draw.

Q: 5. Does it work at 220 volts?

A: This is designed for 120v

A: This lamp would fit most Edison base sockets which do not use a reflector around them. An example of such is the Smith-Victor 100UL Cordset and Socket with Clamp Mount B&H # SM100UL. Please see the image below for reference.

Q: 7. Is the Impact FF-S4 light kit TOO LOUD for video? One reviewer says that it is "loud as heck" and not usable for video. Since I want it for video, I don't want it if it generates noise.

A: The CFL lamps do not have fans and make no noise.

A: This lamp does come with a remote.

Q: 9. what type of lights can these stands hold?

A: The Savage MultiFlex Light Stand (10'), B&H # SAMF10, is compatible with lights that have a standard 5/8" baby receptacle on the bottom of the light fixture or on the light fixture yoke. The standard 5/8" baby stud on the top of the light stand is also reversible, and has a 1/4"-20 male thread on one end, and a 3/8"-16 male thread on the other end, and may be used with light fixtures with the aforementioned female thread socket sizes. The light stand has a maximum load capacity of 9 lbs (4.08 kgs).

[120 VAC, 60 Hz] I'm a visual artist who needed a viable lighting solution for photographing my work. This kit nicely fits the bill. Ordering included the caveat that delivery may take 2-4 weeks. (I appreciated that this was made clear before checkout.) Anticipating an even longer delay because of supply-chain issues during the pandemic, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived several days before the end of the second week. 5

[120 VAC, 60 Hz] When I first saw this light stand I thought it was a great idea but did not get one. Then I saw a review and I was then even more interested. Long story short I had a need for another stand so I purchased this one. It is very well made and sturdy. I move around a lot while shooting so this stand is perfect as I can easily pick it up and quickly reset it. A must have for location shooters. 5

[Yes] I use this for mounting an LED ringlight. It is so incredibly useful and easy to use with its self deploying and retracing legs that I could not imagine dealing with other stands. Solid, and the air damper works great too. 5

[Yes] Purchased to photograph my wife's artwork - flat and 3 dimensional. Mainly to create or eliminate shadows. Not cheap, but way less expensive than heavy duty professional LED lighting kits. Adjustable light intensity and color (Kelvin Temp) was helpful in getting colors in her artwork to pop out without having to fuss with color balance on the digital camera. Remote control handy but only way to control intensity and Kelvin. LEDs can be adjusted independently or as one. Umbrella reflectors/diffusers are a little on the small side but do the job for us. Probably would not be good for large studio works. Stands are lightweight but sturdy and not top heavy even when fully extended with light fixture and umbrella. Used for one photo session so far. Will see how well they hold up. 5
