Rapcohorizon Isoline-3 Line Level Splitter Box

Rapcohorizon Isoline-3 Line Level Splitter Box
  • Product Code: eq10664
  • Availability: In Stock

$265.50 $334.53

The RapcoHorizon Isoline-3 Line Level ISO / Splitter Box is wired with a 3-pin hot XLR. It provides quality 1:1 line-level output transformers for applications requiring a high degree of electrical isolation. It is used in applications such as servo balancing, breaking ground loops between pieces of equipment with unbalanced lines, and floating the unbalanced outputs of a crossover unit, or an unbalanced mixer output that must run down long cables to power amp inputs.

Transformer isolation in any such situation should minimize interference from radio transmitters, lighting dimmers, and 60 Hz AC power wiring, and help goof-proof sound systems and installations from improper connections or faulty conditions.

It features a ¼” input (can be used balanced or unbalanced), a ¼” loop out with an XLR male output, a ground lift switch for buzz-free operation in almost any environment and an 18 gauge formed steel box. The connectors and the switch are recessed to resist damage.

Q: 1. Hello, I am looking to use my leica M lenses to shoot a film with my Sony a7s and metabones adaptor. Some of it will be shooting outdoors and I need to be able to put ND on these lenses in a way that that will be practical (i.e. not buying ND for each individual lens with a different filter thread size). I am wondering, with consideration to the very small size of these lenses, if this product will be a good purchase in order to use one ND filter set. I am wondering specifically about the lens cowl working well to reduce light leaks and reflections of the filter, as some have said it does not stay in place? Thanks!

A: Hello Joe. This product brings an adjustable cover to put between the lens and the Matte Box to block the light. The only problem I see. If the lens is not large, it difficult to manual focus. If you want to give me an e-mail to send you the photos from my lenses. So you take a better decision. Bye

Q: 2. Do the 3.5mm jacks output audio from the HDMI input signal, or are they independent from the HDMI input and require their own 3.5mm input?

A: If you input HDMI only, the HDMI and 3.5mm audio out is from the audio embedded in the HDMI. If you input 3.5mm audio, that overrides the HDMI audio and 3.5mm out.

Q: 3. I am planning on using this as essentially an 1/8th in. to XLR adapter, then inputting to a console. What is the reason (if there is a reason) to use the LTIBLOX as opposed to using a 1/4 in. cable with an 1/8th in. adapter? Could the LTIBLOX be considered a preamp, or am I misunderstanding its primary / intended function?

A: You can use a 1/4 to 1/8 cable. But, this makes it a whole lot easier. You can easily extend this out 50-100' with an XLR, as opposed to the 6' of 1/4 cable that you would suggest. And, you don't have to worry about losing the adapter. We are a rental house, and own about 25 of these things. Its great for the group that 'just wants to plug their iPhone in for some music.

Q: 4. What does Rod Mount Matte Box for 86mm Threads Mean?Clearly it is 15mm mounted. Does it also have threads to screw onto 82mm lenses? (this is what I am looking for)

A: Hello Kevin. 86mm (3.386 inch) diameter hole is inside Matte Box. For your lens 82mm (3.22 inches) works perfect. I use a 16mm lens Rokinon T2.2 CINE, and I had no problems. Bye. I hope to help an answer to this question.

Q: 5. I just bought 1 of these a few days ago from you. It showed up today and the 3.5mm end is not solid black like the one in the picture? Why is it different. I really wanted the black end. Could you see if that is still available like that? Thanks

A: It is not unusual for a manufacturer to change a small non-critical production feature or cosmetic component that wouldn't affect performance. We do not have another version available.

Q: 6. Can I use this device as a splitter to make a backup recording on a Zoom H6 for example?I mean, I have a shotgun mic. I split the signal in two, put it in two inputs of the recorder... I don't want to use a Y because I could lose a lot of gain on the two outputs. Or do you have other devices that can do this? Or a good mixer (I mean affordable 300-500) to to team with the H6 that can do this? I plan to use it with a Shotgun AND a Lavalier. So 2x2 outputs. Thanks! ;)

A: This device is designed for line level signals only. Splitting a microphone signal is never a good practice as there will be signal loss and added noise. A mixer, not a splitter is the way to go. The Mackie Mix8 (B&H # MAMIX8) is an 8-channel compact mixer that features high quality components, a rugged metal chassis, and is designed for a variety of sound reinforcement applications. The mixer features two mic/line inputs with 48V phantom power, two stereo 1/4 line inputs, and stereo 1/4 aux send and return. It is capable of accommodating dynamic and condenser microphones, keyboards, DJ setups, portable music players, and more. Each of the two mic/line inputs is equipped with XLR and 1/4 connectors, a dedicated 3-band EQ, aux send, pan, level control and an LED overload indicator. The two stereo 1/4 line inputs each feature an aux send, 3-band EQ, level control, balance control and also have an LED overload indicator. a href= http://bhpho.to/1sLQeDj target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1sLQeDj/a

Q: 7. Is this product made in U.S.A ?

A: According to the information we have, our current inventories Country of Origin is Mexico. Please be aware this can change over the product's production life without notice.

Q: 8. Will this work with the Raynox MX-3062PRO?

A: I use this for my Sony FDR-AX100 and It works very well. I would recommend this.

Q: 9. Is it powered or does it require an external amp?

A: This unit is not powered. It is a passive split. No external amplifier necessary. Send your signal IN and enjoy the 8 individual OUTs

Q: 10. is this used to get rid of hum?

A: Yes, this device typically will remove the 60Hz AC hum generated by connecting two devices that are not sharing the same AC ground.

[1.3 lb] I use this to prevent my Scarlett 2i4 from sending phantom power back to my console (or other source) when running SMAART. No fried electronics from powering line outs.

[Passive] These devices did what they are advertised to do…eliminate ground loop hum.

[Yes] Rugged and small enough for toolbox. Pots are a little clumsy for fat fingers, but you'll get used to it. Bigger knobs would risk getting damaged in a mobile rig.

[1.3 lb] This is a well built unit, and extremely quiet. With the ground lifting capability, I can get rid of hum as well. I use it to feed powered stage monitors, and it does not seem to affect the volume level of the channel I am using. I am extremely happy with the splitter and the cost at B&H was far below other stores I looked at. On top of that, it included free shipping and was to my door in a few days.

[Standard DI] This is a great little DI box for any application. I purchased a handful of these to use with the piezo triggers I use on drums to trigger (sidechain) gates. They are built like a tank and compact enough to fit any gig bag.
