[2.59 lb] Long time customer of BH and Westcott lighting, having previously purchased the FJ80 with sony adapter. The 80II is great to finally have a westcott light I can use on our sony camera's without that extra adapter need. I still use the FJ80 as an off campus flash but needed something new for our upcoming commencement season as some of the event spaces are poorly lit. After using the flash this past week I couldn't be more pleased with it, build quality, battery life has been great and not needing to carry an extra adapter is a huge plus.

[16] I replaced my Flashpoint Li-on iii r2 ttl Flash for this Flash after buying a Z8. I was a little apprehensive about buying it since some reviews said that it took forever to boot up.

This new 2024 Universal M version boots up quickly. It is pretty simple to set up for your camera. In the top left hand corner just choose you camera brand and it attached to the Z8s hot shoe without any issues.

Westcott is said to have a more accurate reliable temperature rendering. I went with this recommendation by a B&H representative after I saw it on dale for 274.00.

It renders nice accurate flashes and it boots up pretty fast. Yes, you have to turn it on and press the on software symbol on the screen; However this is done in a matter of seconds.

Buy what you like but don't be afraid of this unit. It also has master slave trigger capability.
B&H sent it to me in one day and I received it by late morning.

[31] Needed a light set for a location shoot. This set of two lights packs in a single bag. Really convenient when you have to haul in a lot gear and props. Provided more than 150 shots beyond their estimate. I was very satisfied with the power and results I got. Easy to use.

[0 to +90°] So far I haven't found the end of life for my fully charged FJ80 battery on a shoot, but since you can't use AA or AAA batteries with the FJ80 you really should get one of these for insurance purposes. Especially if you're a pro.

[0 to +90°] I bought this to use 'off-camera' mostly, not a big fans of on camera lights, but... This FJ80 II is easy to use, especially when paired with the FJ-X3 for off camera work. Great for location work, and has very good light output... So far, battery life seems good, too.

[Shoe] I've used Godox flashes until now and been really disappointed in the performance and longevity. I decided to give this flash a try. It never misfired, had inconsistent exposure results, or overheated (didn't even become slightly warm). The menu may not be the friendliest - I did have to look up the manual online because it does not come with one to figure out how to turn off the beep. I skipped updating the firmware since it was brand new, but shouldn't have. I did keep having an incompatibility message appear, although it worked flawlessly.

[Shoe] I already owned the FJ400 and some FJ200's so it made sense for me to get one of these to complete my system. The flash head itself is bigger than your standard Canon/Nikon/Sony flashes. The plastic seems a little thin, probably to keep the weigh down and the click on the head seem to be good, but not as strong/loud as other flashes I've had. So far it holds well, but in time I'm afraid its going to do like a lot of my flashes and want to turn down when I go vertical. We'll see. So far so good. Very easy to use the touchscreen on the back and TTL seems to work pretty good with my Canon R6.
