[1700 to 20,000K] WOW this light is about the size of my hand but it can put out some serious light!! Plus it's RGB! This is the best upgrade in my equipment at the moment, love how compact and powerful it is!

[RGB] If you're looking for continuous RGB-LAC light, you've found the right product. I had another brand but they were big, cheaply made and the color was inconsistent. These cost a little more but they are very well made, easy to use and the App is excellent. You can even take a photo of a certain color in the scene and have the lights use that color!


At first I thought they may be under powered for photoshoot shoots and video in a studio. They have plenty of power to light a medium size studio. I haven't had to use the special effects (such as Police Car, Candle/Fire, Disco,, etc) but they're easy to get to and looked great when I tried them out.

They're also pretty compact. The trade off for its compact size is that the battery is off-camera and will hang on your light stand. On the other hand, you can run these on batteries or plug them in. That's ultimate flexibility. These are so good, I bought 3 of them and will grab the Projection Attachment sooner or later too.

Yes. Aputure has even brighter lights like the Nova series that have their many advantages, but this is so affordable, so easy to use... and you can very confidently buy multiple.
An RGB monolight with a bowens mount, amazing color quality, so easy to control with the sidus link app. It's great.

[1700 to 20,000K] Couldn't be happier. Love the size and look. The case it comes in is also quite nice.

[1x Reflector] This light is super impressive, the RGB colors are very pure and the flexibility with white balance is very very useful when working with mixed lighting on location. The app is pretty good, but the on-screen controls are so well implemented I usually just adjust things there. Yeah it's pricier than budget lights but the quality of the output and flexibility is very valuable. The design may also not please everyone (I love it), but it seems incredibly durable and a good balance of discreet and eye-catching. The only weaknesses I found were how bulky the protective case is, and the effects were not as extensive or impressive as some other brands (though, that seems pretty clearly not really the point of this light).


Huge kudos as well to the Kelvin support team. I purchased mine used here on B&H and a the previous owner had removed and disassembled a part and stuck it in a bag. Kelvin support were not only willing to send me detailed instructions on how to fix it, but even mailed some replacement pins at no cost to me. Amazing support, very confidence inspiring!


It's definitely a bit of a jump to pick this over other lights, especially when cheaper and more powerful options are available. However, if you like the idea of buy once and the design and durability appeal to you as they did to me, this might the perfect light.

[1x Reflector] I love this light! It's very small and compact but puts out a lot of light, I love the modifiers available and love the RGB mode!

[Bowens S] I have really loved my portable Godox strobe flash unit with TTL wireless transmitter. This product (aside from not being battery powered) is very much along those lines of quality, versatility, good price and convenience. The fact that it comes with a custom carrying case make it very easy to deploy this in the field. The variable color temperature makes it easy to match the light to the ambient light in any given setting. I find this bright enough for my intended uses, but it's not bright enough to be a key light for a really demanding lighting scenario with small-sensor pro camcorders, where the key light really needs to drive the shot. Rather, this is well suited for a fill light or key light intended to fill shadows and/or create a pleasing catchlight in a subject's eyes, but not to drive the whole scene. For a full-frame mirrorless with fast glass, it absolutely drive your shot.

[1700 to 20,000K] The option to switch between bi-color & RGB, along with some of the very useful FX options like the firelight option is invaluable to have all in one light. The only thing that I wish about this light (which I'm sure they'll be producing some in the very near future) is a higher wattage. At the time of ordering this light, the 150w was the only available option. 300watts would've been nice but we'll make do with this for now.

[Aluminum] Perfect add on kit to my pair of Forza 300B's, for when I need color/accent, or just dont need to take a bigger kit.
The hard case is approximately the same size as a Forza 300 case.

Plenty of reviews of the photometrics out there, so I stick to usability. Wish they had supplied it with the V-mount grip, instead of the dual NPF battery grip. The handgrips are kind of a gimmick, so I took two of them out of the case and replaced them with the FL-11 fresnel.
Overall its a solid little kit with nice quality of light.
