Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the lens hood metal?

A: It is plastic

Q: 2. Hello, is this lens compatible with te Xpro1?

A: Yes.

Q: 3. what are the dimensions of the lens, please? how far does the lens protrude from the lens mount? thank you.

A: The TTArtisan 50mm f/2 Lens for Leica L (Black) is 1.38x1.95x1.95".

Q: 4. The included lens hood appears to be 55mm in diameter and threaded. Will this hood actually accept a 55mm filter?

A: The lens hood included in the box with the FUJIFILM XF 50mm f/2 R WR Lens has a bayonet mount dedicated to this lens. There are no threads on the lens hood; However, you can attach your 46mm filters to the lens front threads with or without the lens hood.

Q: 5. Does this lens work for the fujifilm xt20?

A: Yes. Totally.

Q: 6. I shoot only video on the XT-3. I need to choose between the 50 and the 56. These are mostly corporate interviews or teleprompter shoots that I am now doing with the kit 18-55. I want people to look their best and for the shoots to be a bit more filmic. I also need to be ready to shoot in non-studio situations - meaning available light. All this seems to point to the 56. On the other hand, the widest apertures on the 56 will not be usable in a video shoot, and it is said that the 56 has slower, louder autofocus. So, can anyone with video experience tell me if the 50 is perhaps a more logical choice for the kinds of video shoots I am doing? Thanks.

A: The Fuji XF 56mm https://bhpho.to/2FWjbqa will have better low light abilities and better overall image quality.

Q: 7. does this lens have enough compression and bokeh to be used as a portrait lens ?

A: I purchased and shot with this lens for a couple of months after renting the Fuji 56mm for more than a year and I have to say that the bokeh and compression you'll find with this lens although good is not as impressive as it's more expensive big brother. That being said, it is a very nice lens that I found to be a very compact and easy to carry on most shoots.

Q: 8. Can it be used on full frame camera?

A: The TTArtisan 50mm f/0.95 Lens for Nikon Z can be used on a full frame camera but it would be recommended to set the camera to crop mode in order to avoid vignetting. Crop mode will reduce the resolution of the camera and increase the focal length to about 75mm. A full frame lens would be a better choice for a full frame camera such as this Mitakon: https://bhpho.to/2GrGOpZ

Q: 9. Will this work on a xt5?

A: Yes, the FUJIFILM XF 50mm f/2 R WR Lens is compatible with the Fuji XT5 digital camera.

Q: 10. Does this lens have image stabilization ?

A: No this lens does not have image stabilization

[f/16] I haven't had any problems with this lens. great depth of field. the only thing is that when you first get the lens you have to enable shooting without a lens because the camera doesn't know that there is a lens attached because there are no electronics on the lens other than that this is a great lens and i love tt artison a a brand

[50mm] Nice size, little heavy but a perfect weight balance on my Canon M6. I love how the advent of mirrorless has facilitated a return to manual focus lenses and this one is great. Not a single complaint, nice nostalgic character to the images from it, but with modern sharpness and colors. Leaving it on the M6 in lieu of the 22mm f/2 all the time now.

[Manual Focus] Wide open this lens is soft, perfect for those soft-focus/dreamy portraits. Between f/2.8 and f/5.6 it is a sharp manual focus lens for any subject. At f/8 your camera becomes a point-and-shoot -- very sharp images from 0.5m to infinity. This lens does a great job as a near-macro -- focuses to 8 inches from the sensor (See attached flower photo).

[APS-C] This lens is just really fun! It pairs really well with a z30 and delivers a type and quality of pictures that is both early 90's Canon film look with the reliable use of a modern lens. You don't have to find an overpriced older lens with character, you can just buy a brand new, well built, cheap lens with built in character.

[APS-C] I've read the reviews of this lens and decided to get it. I considered the few flaws (vignetting, somewhat soft edges, reduced contrast when shooting towards the light, and manual focus) to give it character and produce unique images. My actual experience with the lens is, so far, better than I expected. The build quality is excellent. It feels solid and operates smoothly. The images, when wide open (f2.0) show some vignetting and minimal softness around the edges, which I would have done in post processing anyway. The bokeh is beautiful. The pictures are very sharp, especially when the aperture is above f5.6. The lens is small, light, and fun to use. I had no issue with the manual focus or with getting the exposure right. It took me some time to get used to the narrow aperture ring that is placed in the front of the lens. I replaced the screw-on lens cap with a center-pinch one. This lens is perfect for the Nikon Z f.

[Manual Focus] This lens should be an embarrassment for other manufacturers. If all you care about is shaaarrpppness then you probably aren't even looking at this page anyway. If you care about 3D pop, deep tonality, and life-like rendering, this lens rivals anything from German manufacturers known for those characteristics and costing 7-13x as much. Even things you wouldn't expect from a $100 lens like great flare performance - this lens has it.

Only nitpicks are the weird jump in the aperture ring from f8 to f16 and the comical heaviness of the lens. I have plenty of all metal lenses and even ones twice this size aren't this heavy. Does it feel quality and built like a tank? Absolutely. It's also as heavy as a tank and on a tiny Fuji X-E body makes the camera stupidly front heavy.

TL;DR - I gladly buy this lens for $700 because that's what I was going to pay for the same image quality from the brand that starts with V and ends with Lander.

[10] Yes, it's manual focus. Yes, it's heavy. It's a very old-school experience. But if you just learn some basic zone focusing, it works great for a LOT of situations. And the images you get are really stunning. Like, $800 lens stunning, with impressive contrast and beautiful bokeh. And the build quality is exquisite. It's a really fun lens, and at its price it's a great deal.

[0.69 lb] Bought the lens to use for a Fujifilm X Pro3. Solid built, good optics. The aperture ring is a bit on the small site but still easy to use. Lots of fun and great value.
