I'm upgrading from an i7 dual core macbook pro from 2017, and this is well worth the upgrade. The computer wakes instantly and it is certainly the fastest laptop I have ever used. I've been using it for a few weeks and haven't had any issues downloading or running any programs, and the design is very sleek. I'm also a huge fan of the 120Hz screen refresh rate as well, as it makes the screen much easier to look at for long periods of time!

I opted for a robust configuration for photo editing. This computer boots up in a couple of seconds and rips through lightroom and topaz edits with very little wait time. This is the computer that works the way you expected computers should work 20 years ago.

I was a Windows user for a very long time. Other than being a photographer, I also code. For years, I have known that Photoshop and Lightroom Classic just work better on Mac. I stayed with Windows system simply because I didn't want to learn a new dialect for my coding.
Over the years, Windows OS just became increasingly not user friendly, and the quality of Windows machines are getting worse. So, it was a no-brainer when it came to upgrading time.
I decided to leave the dark side and purchased a 14 M2 MacBook Pro Max. This machine is unbelievable! It is super-fast, easy to use and good-looking. It is every bit as Apple had promised. PS and LRC run like a champ on Apple silicon. I am glad I made the switch.
If you have been contemplating switching from PC to Mac, just do it. There is absolutely no learning curve. It only took me about ten minutes to get familiarized with Mac OS. It is extremely intuitive.
By the way, I purchased the MacBook from B&H because they are simple awesome, and they were able to ship my machine thirty days sooner than my local Apple Store!

Thoroughly impressed with overall speed of computer. Previously I was on an i5 machine and can now render work in premiere pro at least 4x faster.

Nothing needs to be said other than it runs exactly as you know it will with all the latest from Apple. Extremely fast, latest technology, worth all the expense of an upgrade. If you are a Mac user and you are considering upgrading from an older machine (mine was mid-2014), stop considering. Just order one!

Upgraded to this from a Chromebook and it’s such a great machine. Haven’t used it for more demanding tasks yet but I’m enjoying the display and the speaker very much

I was guessing a bit to decide which configuration I needed. I don't do multi-stream 4k video editing, but I do love to use premier and leverage AI filters for things like noise reduction when editing photos. I had been using an M1 Air with 16 GB of ram for this. The performance bump between than machine and this one (M2 Max with 32 GB of Ram) is just mind blowing. It seems to scream Go forth and be creative!
