Great camera fast delivery

With the drop in the Full Frame price I picked up one, but if you need ProRes and would be fine with a Matte Box like the Mirage for the current price you won't find much better in a cinema camera that shoots Raw 6K at reasonable frame rates and good Codecs. While I am loving the Open Gate of the Full Frame and the automatic proxies getting made, I have to keep the G2's and and Pocket 4K's for some of my other shoots that need ProRes - BMD has really found a way to make shooters who have packages create packages around all of their cameras and locked into the Resolve Eco system (Which is great as it's free with the Camera and Free without Limited and easy to use, took a bit of getting used to, still working on completely cutting Adobe out of my work flow)

I had a BMPCC4K since 2018 and I needed a renewal. The 6K G2 is a great option that I was carefully analizing and I am happy with it.

The best Cinema camera it should be in discussions with the Red and ARRI. Paired best with a full frame lens the super 35 sensor will not give edge distortion when paired with a full frame lens. The weight is very bearable. Functionality is definitely that of cinema quality.

I cannot believe how much I get out of this camera for the price. There is definitely a learning curve to anyone not familiar with Cine cameras but the image quality and content you can create with this camera are stunning to say the least.

Roughly 20 years ago, I was looking for a video camera that could record for long periods of time. I was disappointed that the best camera I could afford back then was limited to only recording for 30 minutes. Technology has finally solved that problem. I've been using this camera as though it's a security camera, recording at 1080p/30 to an external SSD. I've let it run for up to 8 hours at a time and have had no issues using the camera this way. Take that with the fact that you get Davinci Resolve Studio with it and you get a video package that is very capable. The low light performance is pretty good - it's actually better than my eyes at getting detail in low light situations, though there is some slight noise in the image. Overall, this is a great video camera at a great price.

Great value! Comes with a free $300 license for Da Vinci Resolve studio. I heard they used this cam to shoot a few scenes in Better Call Saul. The colors are fantastic without grading and Resolve opens the doors to making Hollywood grade films. Below is my recommended essentials for this camera. I have tested them all on this specific camera.

The only other cinema camera I’ve owned is a c100 mk ii, which I still love. While the 6K G2 doesn’t feel as if it has as robust of a build quality, I have not had any issues with it and it has worked just fine. I love the simple, intuitive interface. It is very easy to change settings. BRAW files have been great to work with, the included resolved license is big plus, and image quality is phenomenal. Basically, anything that I would like to be better with this camera is simply not available anywhere remotely near this price point. I picked up the G2 when it was steeply discounted by B and H, but if I had to pay full price, I think I would opt for the 6K pro just to have the option of internal ND, and because screen visibility is a little weak in daylight. Overall, it is an unbeatable value to get this image quality out of an EF mount cinema camera at this price.

I purchased 3 of these because the price was so reasonable for what you get. These cameras are great!
