Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does anyone use these lens coats on Canon lens'? I have a 24-70 Id like one for but want it to fit snuggly or a 70-200

A: Yes, trick of the trade if you apply to your lens and warm with blow dryer. They shrink just a lil for that perfect fit.

Q: 2. Will this product fit the nikor 24mm f/1.4 lens with it's hood reversed?

A: I bought this for the 50mm Nikon lens to fit over the lens shade for protection and quick on and off capability. The product was protective but fit so snugly over the shade that it was slow to remove and re-attach.

Q: 3. Are these washable ?

A: Lowepro says this about cleaning the Lowepro Universal Divider Kit and all other Lowepro products: "Proper cleaning of all Lowepro products should be handled with care. We caution against use of any detergent and recommend mild soap. We recommend spot treating or hand washing with warm/cold water and mild soap, followed by hanging the item to dry."

Q: 4. Does it work with the Tokina SD 16-28mm 2.8?

A: I purchased this hood for the same lens. It makes a snug fit, and the end is fairly solid, so it should not contact the glass. However, it does remove the snap-on lens cover I was using as a replacement for the original Tokina lens cover.

Q: 5. You hoods look great and seem thinners than other ones I have seen. what is the best hood for the following lens: 1. Tamron SP70-200 77mm w/ hood attached. 2. Sony 16-50 72MM SSM w/hood attached?

A: I dont use Tamron lenses. I use only Nikon pro lenses, and the hoods that come with them. I think the best hood for any lens is the one made by the manufacturer. Its not the thickness but the shape that matters. Hoods become a pain to keep matched with lenses when they're all in my bag together, so I mark the focal length on the hood somewhere. Just write it on a small piece of paper and stick it on the hood. Hoods are a bit bothersome to use, esp. on a long lens, but its important to always use them to prevent extra light from sneaking in and ruining the exposure. I know you didnt ask this, but the best lens by far Ive ever used is Nikon 24-70mm. Stunningly sharp. It is expensive. If you want professional results, use professional gear.

Q: 6. Can I use the Yongnuo YN100 LED Sun ight with my Westcott 43 Apollo Orb?

A: Being that the YN 100 has an umbrella mount, it can work with the Westcott 43 Apollo Orb.

Q: 7. Size for canon 35-70?

A: Hello IraThe two Lenscoat medium Hoodies I bought were to replace the original plastic lens covers provided by Canon. It was taking too much time to remove and replace these plastic covers in the field so I now use Lenscoat hoods for all my lenses from 600mm down to 17-40mm.The medium hoods are for my 300mm f4 and 400mm f5.6 lenses that have a 77mm diameter. (They take 77mm filters) These hoods provide a loose fitting which is fine for me. You should check your lens diameter and make your choice on that. Based on my findings for a lens with 72mm or smaller diameter I use a smaller size than medium. The hoods are of high quality and provide extra benefit in that they don't get lost as easily as the plastic covers. I wholeheartedly recommend them.RegardsTerry

Q: 8. What is the minimum height for the Rotolight light stand with legs extended, without using extensions?

A: The minimum height of the Rotolight Portable Light Stand for AEOS (Medium Weight) without the extensions is 19.29" inches (49 cm).

Q: 9. Does it work with the Tokina SD 16-28mm 2.8?

A: Can not respond to this specific product as the one I use it on is a .Nikon 28-300 telephoto lense with 77mm dia.

Q: 10. Will this fit over the plastic lens hood of the Canon ef 100-400mm lens? Fit snugly and not fall off?

A: Lenscoat would suggest the LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover (Large, Black), BH # LELCHLBK. https://bhpho.to/3yDNEnM

[Gray] I like to use this when my lens hood is on my lens, this gives me peace of mind that nothing will get to my glass and potentially ruin it. I don't like to try to get my lens cap on when my lens hood is on, it's too clumsy. This cover works perfect.

[Gray] I bought this as a replacement for my Nikon hard lens cover on my F mount 14-24mm lens. This should prevent marring that others have warned about.

[Gray] Great protection - it fits tightly on the Nikon 14-24 mm f/2.8 lens and also on the Nikon 24-70 mm f/2.8 lens with the lens hood in place. Good investment to protect your lenses. I will probably get another.

[Men's M] I use LensCoat hoodie covers on top of metal screw in Heliopan or B+W lens hoods...so there by replacing plastic tulip lens hoods that always fall off and don't offer much protection. This LensCoat hoodie also replaces the annoying plastic lens cap.

As with anything you order...take measurements to order the right size but they are not that expensive so if you are out a little just order the next size...

Before ordering you can also vary the size of your metal screw in lens hood by going up in size slightly in the screw in hood by ordering a step up ring
