Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the waterproof rating for these binoculars? IPX8? IPX67?

A: The Olympus 8x21 RC II WP Binocular may only be exposed to moderate moisture or light drops of water. They are not IPX rated.

Q: 2. Does a carry case and strap come with the binoculars?

A: Yes. The Nature DX binoculars come with a carry case, neck strap and protective lens covers. Very nice product. Patrick L.

Q: 3. What is the diopter adjustment range? The listed specs just states "yes" and the DX ED model says -3 to +3.

A: They do not state a numeric value for the diopter. It is adjustable but just + or - with no numbers.

Q: 4. Do you need a tripod when using these?

A: A tripod is not required but is recommended to help keep your binocular steady while digiscoping.

Q: 5. Is it best (why?) for birding than the Leica 40094 Ultravid 10 x 42 HD Plus ?

A: In the Ultravid HD PLUS line, for its size (smallest premium full-size bins available) and massive field of view, the 8x32 or for its brightness and again, massive field of view, the 7x42 would be the best choices. For the absolute best optics available, the Noctivid 8x42 would be the best choice. 10x is generally considered too much power for birding. If you have to have 10x42, the Noctivid would be the best choice as it has the best optics (best sharpness, contrast, resolution and color rendition) of any 10x42 on the market.

Q: 6. My eyes have different prescriptions. Does anyone know if the Celestron 8x42 Nature DX has a dioptric correction feature?

A: Yes, very straight forward to use given the lens covers. 1) Cover the right lens (the one with the dioptric correction wheel) look at some object and focus using middle focus wheel, 2) Uncover the Right Lens and cover the left lens, while looking at the same object, adjust the dioprric wheel for a sharp image.Jim

Q: 7. هل هو النسخه الاصليه ام معاد تدويره

A: The Leica 8x42 Noctivid Binoculars are new. All items on our website are new unless specifically stated otherwise.

Q: 8. Where are the binoculars made?

A: According to the information we have, our current inventory's Country of Origin is China. Please be aware this can change over the product's production life without notice.

Q: 9. Would this work for night time football?

A: Yes of course its going to be under the lights anyway

Q: 10. what is the field of view?

A: Field of View: 8x: 261' @ 1000 yd / 86.65 m @ 1000 m, and at 16x: 156' @ 1000 yd / 51.79 m @ 1000 m.

[9.8' / 3 m] These are great binoculars for me to see the birds at the bird feeders at my home. I had a small pair similar to these that broke when they were accidentally dropped on the floor. These new ones work great. I'm very happy I purchased them.

[Center] Quite compact and sharp. The only downside for me is that there are no covers for the front lenses so I have to put the binos back in leather case every time to prevent dirt. When I need it quick, it takes about 10 seconds to reach the case and take it out and remove the rubber lids on rear eyecups, etc. Still 5 starts tho.

[0.505 lb] I bought the first pair as pocket binos for my birder adult son, but when I saw how solid they were and easy to use I got a second pair for my 5 year old budding birder grandson. They fit his hands perfectly, nice and light yet sturdy, and not too wide at all for his eyes. He'll use them for years. Also, minimum focus length seems less than the stayed 9 ft, so that's an unexpected benefit.

[2.75 mm] I now have three of these binoculars. I found a case that attaches to my belt and I carry these binoculars whenever I am on a trip. They are clear, the eyepiece adjustment works really well, and the magnification is really good. I use them for concerts, sporting events and travel.
