The Really Right Stuff L-Plate Canon EOS Rfrom Really Right Stuff L-Plate Canon EOS Ris an Arca-type compatible plate for easier, more stable switching between horizontal and vertical shooting orientations when using a tripod with a ball head or gimbal head. A push-button QD socket is also available, allowing the direct use of compatible Quick Disconnect straps. The custom-fit design also maintains full access to the battery and allows full screen movement.

This bracket is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and is finished with a Type II black anodizing.

[QD] I'm writing this because there seems to be some confusion over wether it works with a shutter release in portrait mode. May depend on clamp and shutter release brand? For me it works in portrait mode with Vello Shutterboss II shutter release and Really Right stuff clamp. It's tight but it works fine. 5

[Aluminum] Great bracket for my canon eos r. I access to all my inputs and battery without removing the bracket it’s secure and sturdy on my camera. My can ranger quick clamp fits great to the L bracket as well 5

[Arca-Type] How did I live without it? The L-plate has changed my ease of taking photos, to switch quickly from landscape to portrait and to attach on my ball head. Fit is perfect on my EOS R with no conflict with the screen. Very lightweight. I'm impressed with the quality and will purchase Really Right Stuff again. 5

[Arca-Type] You do lose a little bit of the swivel screen movement, but this L bracket maintains more screen movement than any other L bracket. Its very solid with zero movement. You also still have access to all the ports and it's nice that the short side sticks out far enough to not interfere with the 90 degree port on my vello shutterboss ii intervelometer. 5

[Aluminum] I have been using L plates on my cameras for many years. This is the first Really Right Stuff plate that I have used. The plate fits very nicely on my Canon R camera. It fits close to the camera and leaves plenty of room for accessing the ports and battery door. I am very happy with this L plate. 5
