[5.0] Works perfect for my use. Just need windows 11, SSD, and ram and you are good to go. Just be aware the drivers are now from ASUS since they are the new company that is making the NUC.

[4 MB] I see one reviewer had issues with the WiFi at first. The key is to download the Drivers in advance, if possible, to a thumb drive (BIOS update, Chipset, LAN, WLAN, Audio, Graphics, etc).


As we know, Gen-13 is Intel's final offering. (I also own the i7-1370P version, increasing core and thread count.) Gen's 11-13 use a P (performance) cpu instead of a U (mobile) cpu. I also own gen 8 and 10 units and they function very well. The latest units are very robust and utilize updated protocols.


The OEM manufacturers are already charging Much more, so it's time to find an Intel while they're still available.


I have compared this NUC13 i7 unit to many other mini PC's on the market, but the Intel NUC has, I believe, the best (and updated) features overall including TB4 and USB4, WiFi AXE. And the M.2 SATA port is an added bonus.

[5.0] I purchased this for a small PC to hook to my TV, for light browsing and video playback. Works great and uses very little power.

[4 MB] Among several NUC's at home, I replaced a 5th gen NUC with this 13th gen model. It serves as a media center for my music and photo collection, hence the 1 TB SSD and 16 GB memory. For those unfamiliar with the Intel NUC product line, they are small (4x4), very quiet, well-engineered and supported by a three-year warranty. Over the years, I have installed dozens for customers and not a single one has failed so far. The performance is impressive. The clip that keeps the power cord from inadvertently being yanked out is a fairly recent and useful addition. Intel has excellent documentation (assembly instructions, product specs) that I recommend. During installation of Windows 11, neither the wired Ethernet nor the Wi-Fi adapter were recognized which required an Ethernet-to-USB adapter. Others may add the network drivers during installation. Installing the Intel Driver & Support Assistant gets the optimal BIOS, firmware and drivers in place. Now that Intel has sold the NUC line to Asus, I hope that they will continue the development and support of this great product.

[4 MB] I ordered this barebones kit with 16 gb of Crucial memory from B&H, and, of course it was delivered promptly. I got the Intel Pentium Silver N6005 version. I have built several NUCs over the years, and this compact unit was easy to open up. I installed the memory and a Samsung 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD, and downloaded Windows 11 home and used the Microsoft Media creation tool to create a bootable USB drive. I then booted from the USB stick and installed Windows on the Samsung drive in minutes. I already had a key to use to activate.


This device adds Windows to my set up, and takes up very little space on the desktop. I am feeding a 4K monitor and I am able to stream sources in 4K HDR with no difficulty.


This is not a high performance machine, but it handles Microsoft Office tasks and media comsumption to meet my personal needs. The price was right and I am very pleased.

[5.0] Bought this to serve as a Plex Media Server, on the back of my Synology DS918+. Total overkill, really, but I've been wanting something more powerful than the Synology to transcode high bitrate videos. This NUC more than does the job. Ubuntu 22.04 LTS installs without issues. If you're looking to run a Linux server on one of these, you can't go wrong. Idle usage is ~10W, peak usage around 90W, but it hovers around 50-60W most of the time when it's in use.

[Integrated] I have owned two previous NUCs and I am absolutely delighted with this one! It's fast, well-built and runs cooler / quieter than my earlier NUCs.


One thing you might want to know is that I had a few hiccups with installing both Windows 11 and various Linux Distributions, as they are still rolling out support for this NUCs latest hardware. Yet, I am sure that they will soon have this corrected.


Over all, I was able to get both Windows and Ubuntu Linux working beautifully on it.

[4 MB] The Intel NUCs hit in (almost) every way for a mini PC. If you can use a small but powerful machine, definitely consider one of these. Here at B&H I got the barebones i3 kit (without the drive or any memory) and installed MS Windows, memory, and the drive myself.

Two tips for self-installers based on the other reviews: 1) Pressing the power button for three but *not* four seconds takes you to a menu allowing you to set options like boot order, make sure LAN is turned on, etc. 2) If installing Windows 11, you might only need to download the wireless driver to a USB and run the driver installer from there after Windows install to get connectivity. Afterwards, Windows Update will help you take care of the rest of the drivers, BIOS updates, etc.

[Integrated] I bought two of these to replace Roon music servers on a Mac in one location and a PC in the other. Roon provides a free operating system for NUCs optimized for their use as Roon servers. I am much happier with these than the servers operating on the PC or Mac. On both of those systems, the server frequently crashed, and could not consistently play music to two sets of speakers without an echo. The NUC has been absolutely bullet proof. It is silent, and is much more responsive than the servers on the other computers. Very satisfied.
