Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this stand work with the Roland Juno DS88 ?

A: No, the Roland KSFE50 Custom Stand for FP-E50 Digital Piano is not compatible for use with the Roland JUNO-DS88 Synthesizer. The JUNO-DS88 is much larger than the Roland FP-E50 88-Key Portable Digital Piano and the stand cannot accommodate the size. The dimension of the FP-E50 are 51.2 x 12.7 x 6.9", while the dimensions of the JUNO-DS88 are 55.9 x 13.4 x 5 .6".

Q: 2. Does the Yamaha P-45 Home Studio Kit come with the white keyboard cover?

A: This kit does not come with a keyboard cover.

Q: 3. Deciding between the Recital and the concert models. is the key feel very different? hammer vs semiweighted adustable feel

A: Yes, there is a difference in the feel of the hammer action and semi-weighted keys on the Alesis Recital Pro and Concert 88-Key Digital Pianos. Hammer action keys can also be referred to as "fully-weighted" and the keys are heavier and can be harder to press down than semi-weighted keys which are lighter and very easy to press. Hammer action keyboards are often favored by players who have experience playing a traditional acoustic piano as this type of keyboard requires more strength and finger dexterity. There are also players who prefer the ease of semi-weighted keys. The sound of the piano can be the same whether the keyboard has hammer action or semi-weighted keys. Keyboards with semi-weighted keys are typically lighter, less expensive, and more portable. This is also true for the Alesis Recital Pro and Concert 88-Key Digital Pianos. There is a considerable difference in the weight of the two models. The Recital Pro weighs 26 pounds while the Concert model weighs 15.6 pounds.

Q: 4. Is it possible to output the Go Piano 88 to an external bluetooth speaker such as the JBL Charge 4?

A: Unfortunately it's not possible to use a external bluetooth speaker. The piano already has an amp and speakers inside the keyboard connected by bluetooth. So you would not be able to pair additional speakers to it. The bluetooth aspect of this piano is for your phone so you can use various APP's for lesson's.

Q: 5. how much does it weigh?

A: 20-35 pounds, it's fairly light compared to some electronic keyboards

Q: 6. Does it come with the Stand?

A: No, not if you purchase the keyboard by itself. I bought a bundled keyboard package which did include a stand as well as headphones, pedal, and a light. Hope that helps.

Q: 7. Does this all come in one box? And if so what are the dimensions of the package?

A: This bundle would come in multiple boxes, and the amount of boxes would be dependent on which warehouse the items ship from.

Q: 8. Does this product the Yamaha P-45 or the Yamaha P-115 have a 'Transpose' feature?

A: Yes, the Yamaha P-45 does have a transpose feature. The keyboard can transpose six half steps down and six half steps up. Great feature and when you transpose the keyboard sounds don't change - it's only a pitch adjustment.

Q: 9. Can this piano be connected to a wireless Bluetooth external speaker?

A: No. The Casio WU-BT10 Wireless Bluetooth MIDI and Audio Adapter that is included with the Casio Privia PX-S1100 Digital Piano cannot be used to send audio from the piano to a wireless Bluetooth speaker. The Bluetooth adapter is used to send and receive MIDI wirelessly to and from other Bluetooth-MIDI-compatible gear. It also allows you play music from your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled device through the built-in speaker system on the PX-S1100

Q: 10. How sturdy is the stand that comes with this set?

A: The Auray Double-X Keyboard Stand with Pull Lock is fairly sturdy, especially for a moderately-heavy keyboard like the Yamaha P-45 Compact 88-Key Portable Digital Piano.

I can only think of one word to describe my all experience with the Roland RD-2000: Delicious.

Maybe also, I only have a single warning for anyone interested in buying that wonderful digital stage piano:
Do not believe and do not trust any comparison video and even supposed promotion of the RD-2000 on YouTube, with sound intentionally or not, horribly modified by equalizers or altered by poor quality amplifiers to disqualify the RD-2000 against the competition. Nothing to do with the reality, beauty, sophisticated, powerful and wonderful sounding of the RD-2000's sound engine both on stage and in the studio.
I have owned and spent tens of thousands of dollars each year on the latest of all the most expensive premium range digital pianos from the brands Yamaha, Nord, Kawai, Kurzweil, Dexibell, Korg and lastly the RD-2000 which was my latest and cheapest purchase and the best sounding by far, comparing it to all my previous models.
Better believe an end user like me, without any need to benefit a particular brand cheating, and who is only interested in the truth with the supporting facts in the hands.

This feels just like playing a real piano. Very nice response to force and repetition. I really like the simple, minimal design. I have never had a use for keyboards full of lessons, song demos, cheesy backing tracks, and other unnecessary clutter (The D1 does have demo stuff but at least it's out of the way). This still has plenty of useful features to control, such as the metronome, tunings, and lots of options for combining sounds. That being said, it would be a nice touch if parameters of some of the sounds could be changed like on the real instruments, like the organs or electric pianos. But that's not a huge deal since I didn't buy this to have total control over every aspect of the sound - I mainly just wanted a realistic piano (but I do especially like the Rhodes and 60s electric piano). The only annoyance I have found so far is that there is a subtle high pitch frequency that is audible through headphones. It's not particularly loud or noticeable at normal volumes and it didn't seem worth it to go to the trouble of sending this big thing back and exchanging it. It is easily removed with an EQ adjustment if you're recording or playing through an amp but still slightly disappointing since everything else about this piano is so enjoyable. I'm still giving 5 stars with the assumption that it is just an isolated problem and not something found in all of them. The included pedal works well - it does not do half pedaling so if you want the full real piano experience, you'll have to upgrade the pedal. Overall, very happy with the purchase - looks great, sounds great, feels great.

This is the only budget DP which provides proper hammer response and repetitive notes (trills).
comparison:
Kawai RHC action - proper hammer response but no repetitiveness

Casio Scaled Hammer Action - modified hammer response
Roland PHA-4 action - no hammer response at all
Yamaha GHS action - no hammer response at all, no repetitiveness

This is not a technical review - you can read technical reviews by just using YouTube.

I purchased this because I wanted a keyboard that was more focused on piano sound reproduction than synthesizer options. I am not disappointed.

There are enough variations with the available piano sounds to keep any person happy. In addition, there are options to layer different instruments (pads, strings, electric piano, etc.). The capabilities of this keyboard are more than I need at this time, but I am very pleased with the sound reproduction and options available.

I played keyboard for my church and wish I could bring this on stage with me, but I currently play on the Yamaha MX88 at church.

Much more capabilities than I will probably ever use, but if you are looking for a top-notch performer for a stage piano, this doesn't disappoint. I purchased it because it finally went on sale.

It is a professional level stage piano and is right up there with the Yamaha YC-88 and Nord series.

Recently got this RP-107 as my son has started piano lessons and the acoustic pianos we looked at either were out of our price range or were not good quality and/or in need of repair. Plus, the cost of moving a piano as well as routine tunings factored into our decision to look at digital piano options. The key feel and the sound are incredible, next to impossible to tell the difference from an acoustic piano. I have not explored all the additional features this has as we are focused on learning basic piano right now, but I am sure those will be a great asset in the future. Note: instructions say not to set this on deep pile carpet as it may cause damage to the pedals when used. And it came with a piano bench in the package even though this is not listed as being included. The only part that feels a bit cheap is the music stand as it is plastic and does not fold down when not in use. I am sure this will be used for many years.

I did a lot of research to find a good solid, electronic piano for my wife who has a degree in classical music. She really loves this piano and we hope to enjoy it for many years to come.

Really impressed with the sound, quality and feel of this piano. We hoped to find a piano that felt like an upright with the benefits of being digital and lighter in terms of overall weight, and this beautiful piano really exceeded expectations.
