A: No, the 3.5mm mic port does not produce power for mics.

A: Battery yes, SD card no. B&H is really good about including what you get under the tab Overview . In that section it lists What's in the Box . A: The camera requires (and is supplied with) the LP-E3 lithium Ion rechargable battery. The 18-55mm lens is the STM version which technically is their 3rd rendition of an 18-55mm lens. Q: 6. I am not getting 5 fps on L (large). I get a maximum burst of 3 shots and then it slows down to about 2 fps with the writing to disk light on. The viewfinder (bottom right) only shows 3. I have tried the lowest pixel setting and 3 different cards, no go - only 3 shots then slow down. What am I not doing?John T

A: The first thing to consider is whether or not the memory cards that you are using are fast enough for this camera or not. You mentioned using 3 different cards but did not mention their specifications or class. If your cards are high speed cards and this is still an issue, I suggest checking out pages 104-105 of the cameras instruction manual on the topic of continuous shooting . It does state the following: The maximum continuous shooting speed of approx. 5 shots per second is achieved with a shutter speed of 1/500 sec or faster at the maximum aperture (differs depending on the lens). The continuous shooting may decrease due to shutterspeed, aperture, subject conditions, brightness, lens, flash used etc.There are a few other conditions that may slow down the burst which are mentioned on page 105 as well. [Retail Box] The book is good because has valuable technical information for videographers and video specialist. The topics are diverse from video formats, audio for video,filters and video lighting techniques. The cons is: the information can be complicated and dense. Creating confusion so you need time to read it several times to the understand. 5

[0.15 lb] I am so happy i got this video. It shows you how to use all the functions of the camera in an easy to understand format. It also touches on the basic fundementals of photography. I like how i can easily go back to the lessons that i want to brush up on from the menu and not have to scan through all the dvds content. This way i can quickly focus on what i need too. 5

[Retail Box] I ordered the EZ Dupe to replace my old burner that quit working. Our Priest wanted me to make copies of his DVD's that he made for parishioners that did not have the internet. Our Priest had his Sunday mass videoed and live streamed it on You Tube. The DVD's were made so the parishioners that did not have access to Youtube. 5

[0.15 lb] This video is really LONG! But, it doesn't drag! Not only did I learn about the buttons on my camera and how to use it, I learned how to take pretty good pictures! it came promptly, and was better than I expected! like i Said, it was long but well worth my time and money. I definitely learned a lot more than I would have if i tried to figure it out myself. Great purchase and great video! 5
