The NiSi Brass Pro 49-62mm Step-Up Ring for Lensesfrom NiSi Brass Pro 49-62mm Step-Up Ring for Lensesallows 62mm threaded filters to be used on lenses with 49mm standard filter threads. It features a durable brass frame with knurled sides for easier grip. The Brass Pro step-up ring prevents binding and jamming, making it easier to remove compared to standard aluminum setup rings.

The Brass Pro ring has a matte black finish and a special anti-reflective felt treatment on the inside of the frame. The felt treatment minimizes reflections and makes the filter well-suited to shooting long exposures.

A: The Leica Elpro 52mm Close-Up Lens will fit the Leica Q using the included step up ring. It will allow you to focus closer but since it has not been tested on the Leica Q, the exact focus distance cannot be determined.

Q: 5. Can the 58mm NISI closeup work on the Nikon 105mm macro mount which is 62mm filter size without vignetting? What ring is needed?

A: You can use the Sensei 62-58mm Step-Down Ring, B&H # SESDR6258, with the NiSi 58mm Close-Up NC Lens Kit with 49 and 52mm Step-Up Rings. There should not be vignetting when using this combination with the Nikon AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED Lens.

Q: 6. For best results, should I remove the UV filter from my lens before attaching the NiSi Close-Up Lens?

A: Yes; while it is not required if your UF filter has front filter threads, if you wish to obtain optimum results, I would recommend removing your UV filter before connecting the NiSi 58mm Close-Up NC Lens to your lens.

Q: 7. Will this work with the LUMIX 35-100 micro 4/3 mirrorless lens? The 35mm equivalent of that lens is 70-200.

A: Yes. The following will work with no step up or down rings needed.

A: No, there is no knurled version of the Simmod Signature Series 49 x 95mm Front Step-Up Pro SimRing.

Q: 10. Can two or more of these be stacked together?

A: According to the manufacturer, the the NiSi 58mm Close-Up NC Lens Kit with 49 and 52mm Step-Up Rings does have 58mm front filter threads. They have not tested stacking two (2) close-up filters together. While I do not personally recommend this, it would be possible if you have a close-up filter with 58mm rear filter threads.

[Brass] Won't bind or stick to your lens if you have a brass filter (like a B+W UV filter) between it and the lens. I have that setup, so I don't know if it will bind with a non-brass filter. 5

[49 mm to 62 mm] I ordered this for our PhD research student. So far they seem to be satisfied with the product. This Step-up ring is sold by other sites for less money, but we purchased it through B&H for their history of quality products, fast turn around and excellent support. 5

[0.195 lb] I have a bunch of 37mm filters. I wanted to connect some 37mm close up filters to my DJI Osmo Action 4, so I purchased this step up ring and then put a thin piece of gaffer's tape around the interior diameter of the 36mm portion. Now I can put this step up ring around the outside of the Osmo Action 4 lens and have a filter adapter for any 37 mm filter to work with the Osmo Action 4. Note: I'm not screwing this step on ring onto the Action 4. It stays connected to the osmo's lens by friction from the gaffer's tape which I lined the step up ring with. The 37mm Close Up filters screw in normally to the 37 portion of the ring. It stays on very well, and comes off very well. Just push on when you need it, and pull off when you don't need it. I can also attach any of my 37mm ND filters to the ring as well. And it works with my 37mm polarizer. 5
