Developed in response to feedback from working photographers, the Rotalux speed rings have been strengthened in specific spots to ensure that any movable parts will withstand the hard stresses caused by repeated assembly and disassembly.

The Rotalux speed ring design has also been consolidated to one ring that all 11 Rotalux shapes can be built off of. Colored indicators have been added at all mount points to guide users quickly and easily through set up. All guess work has been eliminated because red marks indicate the appropriate mount points for strip boxes: blue indicates mount points for square, and octas have no specific color because they utilize all mount points.

A: It might have been an issue with the ring. But we have not seen any issues come our way in some time.

A: no you need ocf ring

A: If it uses the Profoto 100mm mount without anything protruding then in theory it should work

A: Yes, it will. But you can use the Profoto Speedring for OCF Flash Heads - 101210 - a little less expensive.Profoto softboxes are divided in categories by the amount of heat they support. They are OCF, RFi and HR. The first, OCF is designed to work with heads that have a LED modeling light - B1 and B2. It means less heat. The second, RFi is designed to suport some more heat, D1, D2 heads for example. They work with halogen modeling lights. Then we have the third, continuos light devices that need to be HR - heat resistant.The size of the fit is always the same, the differences are in heat resistance and weight.

Q: 7. Will this work with b10 or b10 plus?

A: The Elinchrom Rotalux Speed Ring for Profoto B1 and B2 OCF Flash Heads will also work on the Profoto B10 and B10 Plus.

[1.57 lb] Very nice cause it's the rfi speedring. I use profoto b1's and elinchrome quadras and the ELC's. I have a lot of profoto modifiers but with this speedring, I can use my profoto soft boxes on my elinchromes, only thing is that I can't use profoto reflectors for the elinchromes which was expected. When you buy most soft boxes, you have to buy speed rings anyway,, this is a good option to mix and match 5

[Yes] This is an excellent speedring. But! In the box the ferrules are flipped over to the wrong side of the ring. (Must be for shipping.) The B&H illustration shows this. See those ferrules pointing backwards from the colored marks on the ring? Every one must be flipped over to the opposite side of the ring before it can be used in the softbox (see photo). Then the EL mount sticks out the back, the rods go in and fold down, the box opens up and Voila! Perfect! I had to stand there and scratch my head for a while to realize Elinchrom had the ring configured backwards as shipped. Now I love it on my Elinchrom softboxes. 5
