Looking for a portable and versatile active subwoofer for live sound applications? Then look no further than the Mackie Thump115S, a powerful 15" subwoofer that complements any full-range speaker—especially the Mackie Thump and ThumpXT loudspeakers. This subwoofer is great for adding low-end to small club/band PA systems and features four application-specific voicing modes including flat, deep, punch, and variable.

The Thump115S features two XLR line inputs, two high-pass XLR outputs, and two full-range XLR outputs. There is a variable crossover control, polarity invert, a defeatable front-panel LED, and mono/stereo summing for single- or dual-subwoofer deployment. Two cut-through handles are offered on the upper side of the enclosure for easy transport and lifting. An M20-threaded pole mount is included for raising your full-range speakers above the audience for proper deployment.

A: The specs list: US Detachable Line Cord: 100 120 VAC, 50 60 Hz, 160WEU Detachable Line Cord: 220 240 VAC, 50 60 Hz, 160WB&H is selling the US version, not the EU version.

A: The manufacture does not list how long the Mackie Battery-Powered Ring Light Kit with Convertible Selfie Stick (6") lasts on a full battery at full brightness,.

Q: 4. How much beating can this speaker take from the weather?

A: These are really stout speakers but as you can imagine. The woofer is still made of paper. We use them outside all the time including in freezing weather. But cover with a garbage bag when it rains.

Q: 5. If I connect this speaker to my cd player will I get both channels or just one?

A: If you use the RCA inputs you will hear both sides. The signal will be summed to a mono-signal.

Q: 6. What are the dimensions?

A: The dimensions are 5.5 x 8.1 x 7.1" / 14 x 20.6 x 18 cm (Each).

Q: 7. Is it 50w amp per speaker for 25w to each speaker?

A: The Mackie CR3-X is 50W total, with the amplifier built into the powered speaker, it comes with speaker cable to connect the passive speaker to the amplifier that is built into the powered speaker.

A: Yes that would be directly compatible.

Q: 10. Are they good speaker for stage piano

A: If by 'stage piano' - you mean for live performance use, the Mackie CR3X would not be ideal for that application. The Mackie CR3X is more ideal for listening to your recordings and mixing in a room or a small studio.

[Class-D] This speaker rocks. It's really loud, made from very great materials and super easy to setup and use. Because it's plastic, it's not heavy, so great for gigging or DJ events. Once again, Mackie is awesome. For the price, $399 on sale, it's amazing. Two of these would make an awesome DJ setup as well. 5

[1400 W Peak ] From a small band perspective, these are loud and clear. I wish there was a bluetooth off switch though. The only way to mute bluetooth seems to be with the app. Once it is connected to a device using the app at least it doesn't seem to be able to connect to another device usuing the app. ie. someone hijacking your speakers. The bluetooth and speaker linking does work well. The audio is very clear, and they are pretty loud. For a sub $500 40lb cabinet made out of plastic it sounds good. Certainly good enough for small gigs. As far as the voicing options, live or monitor sounds best to me using an analog mixer with no other outboard gear. Overall I think this a great buy at this price point. You will want some kind of cover or bag though, they did away this the screen and went with control knobs which is fine, but I feel like they could be a little more vulnerable to me. 5

[Black] This is my first PA subwoofer so I don't have much to realistically compare it to but I'm happy for my purposes! My use: With 2 mackie thump go's through a mixer for karaoke, backyard parties, garage band, general small portable DJ setup. I bought used and saved some money on an already good price. At first I was disappointed with the power and sound when I hooked it to my mixer via the headphone out for volume control. It turns out my cable was bad or sent a weak signal for the sub. I replaced the Cable (1/4 TRS to split balanced XLR) and now that the signal is strong and clean and the sub actually sounds GOOD and musical - so a clean strong signal will do wonders with this subwoofer and I think a little break-in period helped it loosen up and improve SQ. Also properly setting the gain staging will help maximize output. The smaller weight and size of the sub are a big factor for me; it's not that hard to move compared to the majority of other 18's. If you're looking for a monster teeth rattling single sub with power for a live band in a larger venue this might not be the sub for you but it does great for small/medium DJ applications. I will likely add another one for outdoor events or bigger venues. Overall after a few weeks of ownership I recommend it if you manage your expectations 5
