The NiSi 67mm True Color Pro Nano Polarizing Filterfrom NiSi 67mm True Color Pro Nano Polarizing Filteris designed to reduce glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces and increase saturation and vibrancy in the sky and foliage while ensuring true color reproduction. The proprietary NiSi Pro Nano Coating helps to reduce unwanted reflections and provides a waterproof and scratch-resistant layer to assist in the cleaning of unwanted fingerprints, dust, and water stains. This circular polarizer removes the warm tone seen with other brands of CPL filters and provides a closer true color representation of the scene. It also utilizes Cine seal technology that blackens the edge of the CPL for added durability, to reduce the influence of temperature fluctuations and to keep out condensation.

The True Color CPL features a unique two-tone frame with a silver back ring and black front ring, both made from high-quality aluminum. This 67mm slimline frame design is durable and tough and has front threading to allow a lens cap, additional filter, or other accessory to be attached.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How does this compare to NiSi Ti Enhanced Landscape filter? Which is better for Tamron 17-28mm f2.8 lens?

A: While both the NiSi Ti Enhanced Landscape filter and the NiSi 82mm True Color Pro Nano Circular Polarizing Filter are appropriate circular polarizers for the Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8, there are some feature based differences. The NiSi 82mm True Color Pro Nano Circular Polarizing Filter offers a knurled ring for easier grip, but is comprised of aluminum compared to the NiSi 82mm Ti Enhanced Landscape Circular Polarizer Filter which has a titanium frame, but lacks the knurled ring.

Q: 2. Does this true color polarizer work with the NiSi V6 Pro Starter Filter Kit III (as opposed to the V7 kit)?

A: The polarizing filter in the NiSi V6 Pro Starter Filter Kit III is an 86mm filter, so this 82mm filter would not be compatible.

Q: 3. Does this really fit directly on the Z 14-24? 112 mm seems too large for that to work!

A: Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens includes the Nikon HB-97 Lens Hood in the box. This lens hood has a 112mm thread which allow filters like NiSi 112mm True Color Pro Nano Circular Polarizing Filter for Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens to be screw on directly on the lens.

Q: 4. Is there an adapter for this holder that allow to use the Hoya 82mm HD3 CPL instead of the one that comes with the kit?

A: No, unfortunately there are no adapters that would properly function with the NiSi V7 100mm Filter Holder Kit with True Color NC Circular Polarizer and Lens Cap with any off-brand filters, other than NiSi, as they are proprietary to this holder.

Q: 5. Does this polarizing filter work with the Fujifilm adapter ring and hood for the x100v?

A: I have not tested it with that camera, but with other lenses I did find the NiSi 49mm True Color Pro Nano Circular Polarizing Filter to be too thick and not fit with a lens hood. I recommend getting this B+W polarizer as it is thinner and works better with lens hoods. https://bhpho.to/3HD8MNg

Q: 6. Can i use this filter with NiSi 82mm Swift VND Mist Kit 1-9 Stops (1-5-Stop VND, 4-Stop ND, Black Mist 1/4) ?

A: The NiSi 82mm True Color Pro Nano Circular Polarizing Filter (B&H# NICPLTCPN82) (henceforth referred to as "this CPL filter") has 82mm male threads on the back of the filter and female 82mm ones on the front. As such, it can securely attach to typical 82mm filter thread-equipped filters, whether to this CPL filter's own front or own back threads. (Of course, screw-in filters should never be twisted in tightly because doing so could get them stuck.) Most of the filters that come with the NiSi 82mm Swift VND Mist Kit 1-9 Stops (1-5-Stop VND, 4-Stop ND, Black Mist 1/4) (B&H# NITCVSWFMK82) (henceforth referred to as "the kit") have rear 82mm male threads on the backs of their rings and thus would indeed attach to the front of this CPL filter. (The Black Mist 1/4 is the exception, but even it could be mounted with the addition of the NiSi 82mm Adapter Ring for Swift System Filters (B&H# NITCVSWFAD82) which is conveniently included in the aforementioned kit. Now, in case you are asking because you are wanting to mount this CPL filter to the fronts of the filters in the kit, that is only directly possible with the NiSi 82mm ND16 Filter for True Color VND and Swift System (B&H# NITCVSWF1282). Having said that, we should also acknowledge that the addition of an 86mm to 82mm step-down adapter ring could allow this filter to be attached to the front of the NiSi True Color ND-VARIO Pro Nano 1 to 5-Stop Variable ND Filter (82mm) (B&H# NITCVND1582). But please note that we do not generally recommend that because we would expect the addition of three items (the VND filter from the kit, then the adapter ring, and finally this CPL filter) can cause vignetting (i.e., dark or sometimes even black corners) in the image. On the other hand, using CPL filters behind VND filters can prevent the VND from working normally for complicated optical reasons that are beyond the scope of this question.

Q: 7. Mine is also stuck in the Z 14-24 similar to two of the reviewers. Happened on the first use. How can I get it off?

A: You can get the NiSi 112mm True Color Pro Nano Circular Polarizing Filter for Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens off the lens with the Sensei 105-112mm Rubberized Filter Wrench (2-Pack) BH #SEFWM105112 • MFR #FWM-105112 https://bhpho.to/2rx1uFJ.

Q: 8. Will this work in the SmallRig Star-Trail Lightweight Multifunctional Modular Matte Box 3645?

A: No, the NiSi Cinema 4 x 5.65" True Color Rotating PL Linear Polarizing Filter will not fit on the SmallRig Star-Trail Lightweight Multifunctional Modular Matte Box VND Filter Bundle (95mm Back), BH #SM3645 • MFR #3645.

Q: 9. Where are NiSi filters made

A: The NiSi 95mm True Color Pro Nano Circular Polarizing Filter country of origin is China.

Q: 10. What kind of packaging is this filter sent in?

A: The NiSi 72mm True Color Pro Nano Circular Polarizing Filter is sent in a carboard box that holds a thick plastic case with a foam insert to keep it from shifting.

[67 mm] It works well without shifting colors. The ring has trouble to stay attached with the lens, you have to force a bit to have it served to the lens.
I got the first one with a scratch on the coating, B&H exchanged it immediately. You are the best customer service!

[67 mm] Especially near water and on not-so-clear days, this is essential. On a recent motion picture shoot the DP asked specifically for this filter. Snaps on and stays on securely.

[0.18 lb] The NiSi circular polarizing filter is a high quality filter. The ring moves with ease. There are no color artifacts, just a quality result.

[67 mm] I used cheaper VNDs before at around $30 - $40 a piece but was never happy with the results. They are usually not sharp, have a lot of color cast, big vignette, and overall not a good quality. I then switched to fixed NDs, higher quality at around $70 a piece. Those are the best, but not much felixibility. I finally bought the NiSi True Color and love it. The first VND that's really good. Almost as good as the fixed NDs but with a lot more flexibility when it comes to filming weddings.
