Protect your camera from the rigors of the production day while providing multiple accessory points with the SmallRig Cage Kit for RED V-RAPTOR. The V-RAPTOR cage consists of two side plates, a top plate, a NATO rail, and a baseplate, assembled to protect your camera. This cage allows you to mount numerous accessories without stressing your camera's body. The included top handle mounts on the cage's NATO rail and features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mounting holes, as well as a built-in NATO rail and three cold shoes.

The kit includes a lens adapter support and an ARRI dovetail baseplate with a Manfrotto-style QR that fits into the top of the baseplate. The baseplate also features LWS 15mm clamps that accept the pair of included stainless steel support rods.

The cage features a variety of accessory mounting options, including 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16, ARRI accessory mounting (3/8"-16 with anti-twist divots), cold shoes, and ARRI-compatible rosettes.

The Adapter Ring Support is compatible with the DZOFilm PL Lens to Canon RF-Mount Adapter.

The 15mm Manfrotto to ARRI baseplate allows fast switching from handheld to tripod mounting, as well as adjusting the center of gravity of the camera rig.

The cage's top NATO rail can be removed to allow installing the DSMC3 RED Touch 7" LCD.

A: No, the RED DIGITAL CINEMA Compact Top Handle for KOMODO-X or V-RAPTOR/XL will not mount to the top of the RED DIGITAL CINEMA DSMC3 RED Touch 7.0" LCD Monitor (Direct Mount). It is important to note that the 1/4"-20 with two locking pins is meant to mount with monitoring mounts only.

[Aluminum, Steel] I got this cage hoping that it’d work well with the RX100 VII. I have access to all of the ports and battery/memory card and it doesn’t block the view of the screen. It’s a must-have for this camera as far as I’m concerned. 5

[ARRI Dovetail] Amazing cage for the Sony a6700. Anyone who knows better knows to immediately purchase a cage for their camera. Comes with many mounts to attach hand grips, monitors and sorts. 5

[Cage] This is a great lightweight cage for the C70. It took 5 minutes to assemble. The top handle is sturdy. I like the bracket that holds the HDMI in place so I don’t have to worry about it bending in my camera. 5

[3.815 lb] Massive upgrade to the Outrigger Handle. The Outrigger has its use cases, but it's impractical because you can't quickly break it down for gimbal use, had very minimal mounting points, and was not modular in design whatsoever. The Compact Top Handle solves all of this and to be honest, I much prefer a multi-purpose top handle over anything. This thing is rock solid and practical. 5
