[Black] If you have read the specs you already know that this case is heavy and very large. This may make it unwieldy for some people to handle, even when empty, but once it is on the wheels it is easy to move about. The large interior size makes this case very versatile. Large items such as long benchrest rifles with expensive optics, surveying instruments and bulky camera equipment, as well as musical instruments, can be safely transported. I can fit an alto sax, a tenor sax, a laptop, some electrical equipment, and some literature in my case with ease. The saxes ride in their own cases within the 1770. The foam can be configured to hold a large number of smaller items such as cameras, iPads etc. It is easier to keep track of one large case at the airport than it is to do so for multiple dedicated cases. The latches are very sturdy, and the provision for locks seems to be robust. It would be nice if the case had a side handle, for that would make it easier to one person to carry the case over rough ground where the wheels would not function well or could be damaged. I am very pleased with my 1770.

The case feels bomb proof. Latches are solid, the foam perfectly supports and protects the contents, and the rubber gasket keeps out any water. The case rides in the back of my pickup truck worry free. Don't expect something this big and solid to be lightweight because it isn't but even fully loaded I'm not concerned about the case being able to handle it.

[20.1 lb] So here's how I have mine set up. I left the bottom-most piece of foam in for cushion, and removed the 2nd layer and the pick-apart layer. Lid foam remains.


In here comfortably fits:
2x 10' complete c-stands, incl all 4 grip heads and bases
2x plain ol light stands (7' or 8' can't recall)
2x softboxes ( lg octa & med strip) incl diffusers & grid
3x 33 shoot-thrus
Case with brackets, misc hardware


Of course if I took out the lid foam and the bottom piece of foam I could probably squeeze a couple tripods in there as well, but all my tripods are carbon and I'd really rather not...

[Latch] Fits the Nord 88 key Stage2 perfectly. As others have said, the lack of side handle is inconvenient. The wheels are solid and push/pull and turning is easy and nimble. Case construction is solid. If you can live without a side handle, this case will provide exceptional protection. Very satisfied with the fit for the Nord.

[Black] We are moving live-streaming equipment from place to place, but were moving it in canvas tote bags, subject to rain & heat & ramming against buildings or people in the subway. This case keeps this equipment safe, all together in one place, and easy to transport. Is it big? Sure, it's about 5 feet tall if you stand it on it's end. But with wheels on the bottom it becomes easily transportable.
