Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this come with both a 20 screw and a 16 screw?

A: The FLM QRP-70 Quick Release Plate includes both a 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw.

Q: 2. How many screws are in this package?

A: This item will only be one screw per package.

Q: 3. Hello, Will this work with Manfrotto MK290LTA3-VUS?

A: Yes, the Axler QRP-501S Quick Release Plate (Standard) will work with the Manfrotto Befree Video head which is attached to the MK290LTA3-VUS tripod kit. The Axler alternate works like the Manfrotto 501PL plate. Manfrotto Befree Live Video Head BH #MAMVH400AHUS

Q: 4. I was wondering if there are any issues with this plate twisting while on camera, since it is a universal plate?

A: The QRP plates are the most solid I've ever used, even with minimal tightening. This is partially due to the rubber-and-cork pads.

Q: 5. Is this Arca Swiss compatible? Will L brackets from KIRK or RRS lock onto base?

A: There are two parts to your question that was submitted on the product page of the FLM QRP-50 Quick Release Plate (B&H# FLCP50). First, you asked if the FLM QRP-50 Quick Release Plate (B&H# FLCP50) is Arca Swiss-compatible. Our response to that is that yes, it is, and so it will fit in most Arca-compatible quick release clamps. Second, you asked if L brackets from Kirk and Really Right Stuff (subsequently referred to as "RRS") lock into the base. . . of something -- presumably of the FLM QRP-50 Quick Release Plate (B&H# FLCP50). No, they do not as this is a plate and not a clamp. However, as of July 2021, all L brackets made by Kirk or RRS that we currently sell follow the Arca standard and thus fit into most Arca-compatible quick release clamps. As such, if you were asking if those will fit into an Arca-compatible clamp then the answer is that they are indeed designed to do so. (There is some variance among manufacturers, however, so not every plate and clamp combination will always work even if they both claim Arca-compatibility.) If you would also like us to recommend a clamp, please contact us by email, chat, or phone and tell us what the clamp will itself be attached to -- such as to a specific of make and model of tripod head.

Q: 6. I have a Ravelli AVT tripod (double handle) and the. QR plate is missing. Will this for that tripod?

A: Ravelli tripods use their own base plate. So if the distance between the lockdown is at lease 1 15/16 or more as that is the base width of a QRP-501S.

Q: 7. Will this work with a Manfrotto MVH500AH head?

A: It will not. The MVH500AH head requires a 500PLONG plate. https://bhpho.to/2ZMTPoi

Q: 8. How does this compare to the Gitzo GS5370MC?

A: The Axler is a little longer than the Gitzo and the Gitzo includes extra screws.

Q: 9. Is this compatible with actual Sony VCT mounts?

A: Yes it is. Along with Arri cameras it is also compatible with industry-standard broadcast cameras from Sony.

Q: 10. Will this plate work with a Manfrotto 504HD (standard head)?

A: yes it will work with the 504HD

[0.15 lb] with a normal plate mounted on the XF400 you need some sort of tool to press the battery release button. With this plate that is not an issue because it is not long enough to cover the button.

[6 x 3.5 x 2"] I use the QRP-40 with a QRB-50 Base to reduce the size of metal on the bottom of my camera & lenses. It works fine with any base -40, -50, or -70. It is affordable and mounts without any play on either end (camera or base).
