The 44" x 50' roll of Canson Infinity Baryta Prestige II Glossy Paper Rollfrom Canson Infinity Baryta Prestige II Glossy Paper Rollfeatures 340 gsm paper made with the aesthetic of traditional darkroom paper. This is achieved by adding a coating of barium sulphate prior to the inkjet receiving layer. The paper has a natural white base without any artificial brightening agents (OBAs).

The gloss finish enhances deep blacks and pure whites and intensifies the color gamut. The Baryta Prestige II paper offers exceptional image quality, detail, and tonal range to produce superb color and black and white images. Produced on a mixed alpha-cellulose and cotton base, the Baryta Prestige II paper has excellent handling characteristics and is FSC and ISO 9706 certified.

If you plan on having this displayed uncovered for a long period of time, you may want to use something. But for most standard usage this is not necessary.

[99%] I recently tested a number of gloss and luster print papers from my two favorite paper manufacturers. Hahnemuhle and Canson. I have been a fan of Hahnemuhle Baryta papers for a very long time. It was a close contest but I recently switched to Canson Baryta Prestige II glossy paper. It is brighter, has a bit more sparkle to it and I really like the texture of the paper. 5

[Single] I like the weight and stiffness of the paper. Monochrome and color images have extreme sharpness and fidelity of color and contrast. The back can be signed in pencil which I prefer. Wilhelm Institute has tested the archival quality of this paper for fading and it has one of the longest longevity of all papers. 5

[1x Paper Roll] I've just started printing with the Photographique II paper and must say it is now my favorite paper. The surface has a beautiful sheen with the slightest texture you can see with sidelight. While I haven't done any technical testing of the paper, the blacks are rich and the color seems slightly more vibrant than some other papers I have used. I use a color-managed process (much like any good printer would do) and I find it comes closer to matching my NEC monitor than anything else I've used thus far (Exhibition Fiber, Innova Fibaprint, Museo, etc. - though these are excellent papers YMMV). I due like Hahnemule Photorag, and highly recommend that as well if you like a more stippled surface. Personally, I prefer the smoother surface or Phgoitographique but may love the Hahnemuhle paper. Whichever you choose, be sure to stick with it for a while to learn what it can and cannot do. I'm still at the beginning of my exploration of the Canson offering, but so far in love. 5

[16.24 lb] I like the fact that this is 100% acid free paper and has a nice surface, giving the photograph a punchy look. Works perfectly in color or Black and White. 5
