A: No, unfortunately the MOTIV MV5C-USB will not work with your iPad Pro. The MV5C-USB is only compatible for use with Mac OS on a computer and is not compatible with Apple iOS USB-C equipped devices like your iPad Pro. Although the iPad Pro uses the same USB-C connector as the computer, the iOS port uses a different protocol which does not function in the exact same manner as the computer's USB-C port. For now, the only iOS compatible option that Shure offers in MOTIV mics is for Lightning-equipped iOS devices. The MOTIV MV5 (B&H #SHMV5ABLTG) does work with Lightning-equipped iPads and iPhones. As technology evolves there may be an update for the MV5C-USB or possibly a new MOTIV model that will be compatible with iOS USB-C.

A: The exposure is set permanently at Programmed AE. There is no direct manual I have found. You can compensate the exposure for the clip you are doing up or down +/- 2EV as well as have a choice of ISO in AUTO, 100, 200,400. Try AUTO at neutral compensation and see how well that works for you. Probably this is best for scenes of great exposure difference, say on a mountain road or a city with tall buildings.
