[Yes] These are a huge asset in a thunderbolt enclosure with a 4x link. I needed to transfer 3TB and this made quick work of it. The drive slows from 2.5GB/s to 1.5GB/s somewhere around 2.2TB into the transfer, which is to be expected. If you transfer closer to the drives capacity, the speed will take another hit, but I didn't see the drive drop below 800MB/s. This is a very usable SSD for shuttling data. 5
