The Telescoping Tabletop Light Stand with Mini Ball Head Kitfrom Telescoping Tabletop Light Stand with Mini Ball Head Kithas an elementary name for a multifunction support, and it supports up to 22 lb on your desktop when mounted on any flat surface up to 2" in width with the included C-clamp, but it does much more. Ideal for vlogging, selfies, and macro work just to name a few uses, the aluminum stand telescopes from 12.6 to 22" in three sections that securely hold their height with flip locks.

Impact has devised a stand that you can mount just about anything on. A receiver at the top of the stand holds a 5/8" stud for mounting gear in the traditional way, but one side of the stud has 1/4"-20 male threads and the other has 3/8"-16 male threads to offer the provision of attaching a microphone, an extension arm, or a mini ball head. Finally, the receiver allows you to mount the stud vertically as is commonly done, or horizontally through holes tapped in the receiver to give extra tilt to your light fixture. The Impact Tabletop Light Stand is more than a stand; it's a bantam production tool.

The LS-12 has three sections with flip locks that telescope from 12.6 to 22" and can support gear weighing up to 22 lb.

Ideal in constrained spaces, the included C-clamp allows you to attach the stand to flat surfaces up to 2" thick, such as your desk or a countertop.

The stand has a number of handy features like the two-way stud that can be mounted vertically in the traditional way or at 90 degrees through holes tapped in the receiver to give your light fixture added tilt capability. The stud also has 1/4"-20 male threads at one end and 3/8"-16 male threads at the other for a microphone or ball head.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Good morning. Will this work for mounting a COB 60d from Amaran?

A: Yes. The following will adapt to any 5/8 opening.

Q: 2. how much does it weigh without the tripod?

A: The manufacturer does not specify a weight with out the stand. With the stand it is about 0.7lbs.

Q: 3. How well does this stand handle any vibrations? is there sufficient padding on the base?

A: The Atlas Sound DS-7E Telescoping Tabletop Microphone Stand has a standard round cast iron base that may protect the mic from very minor vibrations, but it does not have sufficient padding to isolate the microphone. As an option for a similar stand that offers veru good isolation is the Auray TT-ISO Isolating Desktop Microphone Stand (B&H # AUTTISO).

Q: 4. will this work for my canon 5d mark iv with 24-70mm lens? do i need something else or does it screw right into the base of the camera?

A: In most use cases this would be sufficient for a Canon 5D Mk IV with a 24-70 f/2.8 (approximately 3.5lbs), but on an uneven surface or at an angle, the resulting torque from the camera/lens combination might overpower the ballhead. With your specific combination, I would also advise against using the Manfrotto 259B extension as it would result in a very high center of gravity, making it prone to tipping over. The camera simply screws into the Manfrotto 492 ball head, but you could consider a quick release system like the Manfrotto 323 to simplify/speed up the mounting process: https://bhpho.to/39OdhHl

Q: 5. I have a box guard that I use with my microphone. would this work on the table top mic atand?

A: I think it shoul depending on the style of guard your using. I use these for the procaster mic with the shock mount and can handle the weight. So it should be fine.

Q: 6. is this compatible with the akg p120

A: This is compatible with the mic clip of the AKG P120.

Q: 7. Can you tell me the dimensions of the unit: height and the footprint? I'm trying to figure if it will fit on my shelf.

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer was unable to provide the dimensions of this unit.

Q: 8. What size is the treading on this item?

A: The thread on this microphone stand is 5/8"-27.

Q: 9. is it compatible for AT2035 with factory shock mount?

A: This mic stand will work well with the Audio-Technica AT2035 microphone.

Q: 10. What is the internal diameter? Thanks!

A: The opening is 4 1/4" in the center

[Not Compatible] This little stand has a substantial base, and is stable enough to hold a small powered speaker for use a wedge monitor. The large base prevents most things I have placed on it from being Top Heavy. Good little stand.

[Not Compatible] This is a solid mic stand that fits the in between height. I didn't know Atlas made one of these and stumbled on it by accident. A typical stand is appx. 30 min. height and this one is appx. 30 max. I coupled this with the pb11ex atlas boom and it is the perfect fit when micing a drum kit. The snare drum in example is ez to get a good mic placement when using DMS10E. Also good for getting good position on guitar cabinets and other things that the regular size stand makes awkward. Quality is pretty good although the older Atlas were speced better than this Chinese made stand. It all works well enough but I still have doubt as to how good the stand will hold up over time. I'd buy another and be happy.

[Not Compatible] This stand worked perfect for mounting my canon camera with sigma lens plus teleprompter. Easily supports 10lbs using my tripod mount screwed into the top. Very sturdy. Better than all Amazon mounts I attempted first. Extremely happy with purchase.

[1.905 lb] I use them on desks with casters. I use them for lights (battery powered) and external monitors. You could easily use it with a camera but pay attention to the weight limitations, any heavier add ons or a longer lens may give you problems.

[Not Compatible] This is such a sturdy and multipurpose stand, fits on so many things and is easy to use, fits with my camera and my light so versatile and somewhat elegant, imo.

[Round] This is the shorter version of the full-size mic stands Atlas has been selling for decades. The base is amply sized and the clutch is heavy duty. I use it as a table-top stand for heavier mics. Matches nicely with the Pb21xeb boom, but you can attach a side-address condenser right on top.
