[5-Year ] I've had a set of 3 Tentacle sync boxes for years now without any issues. The battery in one wouldn't keep a charge, started swelling, and I thought I'd have to spend a lot to replace it. But this battery replacement kit did the trick. Super easy to follow instructions and took maybe 10 minutes to fix.

[Additional] My printer is only a few weeks old and I have only done a few prints. This one product I hope I never have to use. But it sure is nice to know that the company will back the printer up like this.

[Additional] Perfect size for 70-200 2.8. Lens exchange design is very nice for most lenses. (A 70-200 swapped for a 14-24 is very tight.) This case is a nice size for comfortable wearing on a belt, not to bulky.

[Additional] Build and materials are on par with the cases that came with my Nikon tele's. The lens exchange feature takes a little getting used to and if one is not careful a lens could fall out. A little practice and that will not be a concern. I found that pulling the pouches fully out to exchange lenses helps with access. Zipping the case closed as soon as the exchange is done will avoid a lens falling out.

[5-Year ] 500 watts is a great standard, but when I'm looking for a softer touch, stepping down to 200 watts does the trick. The twist/lock design allows for fast turn-around time. A must-have accessory for any Lowel Rifa owner!

[5-Year ] Just what I expected and more.

[5-Year ] This document scanner, out of the box, is ready for individual owners/users and centrally managed corporate workgroups with many users (frequent and occasional) and many scanners. It has built-in ethernet as well as USB. The included software is well thought out; the many details are organized nicely, and done so that it's straightforward for all the different target users can effectively organize their scanning activity - by type, by destination, etc. It's business-oriented, assumes you know how to use your computer, as opposed to consumer-oriented (spoon-feeding you social media and assuming *it* knows how you use your computer). The scans are fine and it works fast; the multi-page feeder will easily do a multi-page two-sided (duplex) document, and the software helps keep it all together etc. All in all, complete, comprehensive, quite good.


If there's a downside, it's that there's a lot of different software modules it installs, and I found the updates a bit confusing - didn't find them automatically, and after I went and found & downloaded the update files, when I ran them it said they were already installed, so it's not immediately clear whether what came on the DVD is in fact the most current or whether what's installed was or even needed to be updated. It's OK in the sense that the software is complete and not buggy, so I can just get on with scanning.

[Additional] Had a battery bulge and swell the case of my sync box. Ordered the battery replacement kit. Easy instructions and installation. Cranked it back up and put it into the rotation again.

[Additional] I needed to replace a lamp module after the original was damaged when a boom stand collapsed. Switching heads was very easy, with the modular parts fitting perfectly. In fact, in discovering how easy the process was, I realized that it is much easier to change lamps with the module removed than when attached to the softbox.
