Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this automatically detect 1 side or 2 sides needing scanned within a stack of documents?

A: No, the Epson DS-30000 Large-Format Document Scanner does not automatically detect whether it is a 1 or 2-sided document.

Q: 2. did you have for Sinnar??

A: If your sinar has a graflex back then it will fit. My old sinar did. Realize that if you are using a Nikon dslr that has a mirror you will not be able to slide the Nikon very far from center. This is because the distance between the sensor and the front of the camera where the lens would normally mount is too far and the edges will cast a shadow. That space is taken up by the mirror movement and is Calle the mirror box That's the problem I had with this adapter. It's well built but I could only use it near the center of the 4x5 area with my D800E. It should work fine with a mirrorless DSLR like th Sony alpha7 assuming you have the correct adaptor.

Q: 3. Will this device fit the Tachihara 4x5 Field camera?

A: It depends on the rear standard locking mechanism your Tachihara has. If its the standard Graflok (a sliding plate on the top and bottom) it will work. Send a picture of your rear standard minus the groundglass if you can for us to check.

Q: 4. Does this work on the canham DLC 45 camera?

A: Unfortunately, I have no specification data on the Canham DLC 45. My experience relating this adapter is to use on Linhof Technika 45 camera and Sony alpha 7R. I modified the adapter to fit for Sony camera. It dose work very well. If the Canham DLC 45 has a same size of film back as Linhof and you use long focus lenses more than 150mm, it will be recommended. Under the recent difficult situation to get a film, this adapter will save your indispensable camera and lenses.

Q: 5. Can this adapter be used on a field camera?

A: It can only be used with 4x5 cameras from Cambo, Linhof, Calumet, Horseman, Omega, Toyo, and Kodak with a Graflok back.

Q: 6. Can this unit be used with DX format SLRs?

A: Yes, the mount is the same.

Q: 7. Can this fit on the 4x5 cambo SC monorail view camera?

A: Fits my Cambo.

Q: 8. Can I use it with the hasselblad 907x 50c?

A: FotodioX Pro Hasselblad V Large Format 4x5 Adapter doesn't work with the 907x camera but it works with the CFV II 50C Digital Back that comes with the 907x camera.

Q: 9. Is this a full adapter (meaning full bellows, mount, back etc.) for a camera or just a back and I have to have a large format camera to use with it?

A: This is just a adapter/back. You will need to have a large format camera to use with it. It is compatible with Cambo, Linhof, Calumet, Horseman, Omega, Toyo, and Kodak with a Graflok back

Q: 10. Will the Fotodiox Pro Nikon F Large Format 4 x 5 Adapter mount with no problem on the Sinar P2 Rear Standard ?

A: It should. the 2 silver tabs on the side of the ground glass will remove the ground glass, then the Fotodiox will mount where the ground glass was.works great on my combo legend.

[Additional] I use these for all my large format record keeping. Lets me figure out my differential development. Gray card on back.

[Additional] I have to say I was very surprised at the quality. This is a top notch and I would say absolutely essential for large format lens mounting. This wrench is going in my 4x5 field kit.

Thanks B&H Reps in the chat who directed me to buy this one.

[2-Year ] I've used Analogbooks for the darkroom and for medium format. Large format is just as easy to use and excellent for remembering all the specifics about your sheet film exposures. Clean and easy way to record what you did for future reference. Well laid out, graphically simple. Plus, the back cover has a nifty gray card to boot.

[2-Year ] The wide paper feed is very convenient. The double-feed detection and misfeed detection is spot on.
This scanner has been chewing through 20 years of accumulated documents, letting us search and archive them. The cleaning process is a breeze with the rubber feed wheels and axle easily removed, cleaned, and reinserted. The 70ppm feed is plenty fast enough, as it's often sitting empty at the end of a job, waiting to be fed.

[Additional] I just submitted an erroneous review and would like to rescind it, please.

I wrote that I was unable to use the adapter on the bottom half of my Chamonix 4x5 camera and I was wrong. I forgot to take into account that the camera back can be rotated thus solving my dilemma.

I apologize for this and I am hopeful that the review can be taken down.

[Additional] As with the safety pin, this excellent adapter is simple but perfect! I so far have made three top-of-my-ability prints on a bottom of the line Swiss-Arca 4x5, using a Canon sensor (approx. 22 x 15 mm). Since the index markings on the face of the adapter presumably are for full frame sensors, I covered them with tape marked in cm and mm. My work flow:Set up the 4x5 as usual for filmRaise the back by less than 22 mmMount the DSLR with the image's long axis verticalExpose a frame, shift the DSLR less than 15 mm, repeat until row is doneLoosen the back and let is slide downExpose along this new rowUse Photoshop to stitch the imagesIssues:I had to remove the focusing glass on my 4x5. The lens-to-sensor distance is longer than it was for film. Consequently, depending on focal length, you may not be able to focus to infinity. Using the thin lens approximation and some reasonable (I hope) assumptions, I computed BALL PARK maximum focusable distances: offset refers to the distance from the (missing) ground glass to the new sensor. Since a camera lens is not a thin lens, these numbers should not be over-interpreted.FOCAL-LENGTH OFFSET FARTHEST-FOCUSmm mm m===================================240 1 58 4 15135 1 19 4 580 1 7 4 2
