Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this the same case as the RIG-FS7XT, but just with different accessories?

A: These are very similar cases with different accessories included. Both cases have interior dimensions of 20.0 x 13.5 x 13.5 . The RIG-3SRK is more of a universal option while the FS7XT includes things more geared toward the Sony FS7.https://bhpho.to/2hqvbVU

Q: 2. Will this base accept a C stand to replace the tutle base?

A: You can use a riser from a C stand in this base.

Q: 3. What's the connector on the left and right side? Is there a schematic? Is there a counter piece to mount other equipment onto?

A: The connectors on the left and right sides of the ORCA Large Front Accessories Pouch for OR-330/30/272 are for attaching pouches to hold wireless receivers. For example, you can attach the ORCA OR-38 Small Receiver Pouch (B&H # OROR38) or the ORCA OR-39 Double Wireless Pouch (B&H # OROR39).

Q: 4. interior? Why aren't there any pics of the interior? Suspect.

A: The interior dimensions are 22.0 x 11.00 x 9.5" / 55.88 x 27.94 x 24.13 cm. This case will also come with divider system for customizing the interior, with one horizontal divider, one hanging mic pocket, one padded divider pouch, one camera tie-down, and one divider camera cradle.

Q: 5. I am have 105kg in weight, with 173 tall, what size of the vest should I take, L or XL?

A: This product is measured by chest size. The Large is for those with a chest size between 42 to 45 inches.

Q: 6. Does it have any compartment dividers?

A: No it does not. I actually like the Think Tank version, which I also have, better than this one as it does have dividers.

Q: 7. Can I use this bag as a carry on for flights?

A: Unfortunately it will not. This case has exterior dimensions of 21.3 x 15.0 x 16.0" and carry-on size is usually 22 x 14 x 9. This case will be too large to carry on a flight.

Q: 8. Has anyone flown with strobe heads packed in this? Looking for an all in one in terms of lighting gear for flight. Comparing this to the Think Tank Production 40. I've got three einstein heads, some stands and a couple small soft boxes.

A: This is a well protected and padded case. If you use it to transport lights they would be safe. The interior dimensions are 39 Long x 12 Wide x 12 High, you would just want to measure out your gear before making the purchase to make sure that is adequate space.

Q: 9. DOES HASSELBLAD H2 FIT IN THIS BAG ?

A: Hi--yes, the H2 will fit in that bag.

Q: 10. Who is the vendor?

A: This product is made by Porta Brace.

[0.82 lb] We bought this bag so we could consolidate our field gear into something that was easily transportable. It was tremendously helpful to be able to customize the interior panels for a tight fit. The zipper pockets are great for storing hard drives and other production accessories. The case is made from extremely durable material... exactly what you would expect from Porta Brace.

[0.82 lb] I originally bought a Smith-Victor rolling case (B&H # SMCW), but now wish I had bought this Porta Brace case first.

The PB wheels are wider apart, meaning the case is more stable than the SV case when rolling. The SV case tends to wobble from side to side (or even tip over) unless you're on a smooth surface. And the SV case has cheapo wheels that tend to break easily. The PB wheels are larger, more durable, and on steel axles. Much better.

One thing not immediately apparent from the product info is that the PB case, like the SV case, has a telescoping handle for pulling the case behind you. I think the PB handle is a bit better made, but they are both adequate.

Size-wise, the cases are close to identical.

I'm very pleased with the quality of this product.

[0.82 lb] I love this case. We use it for all of our gear for producing a portable sports show. I was able to divide the inside of the case for our purposes and it works great. Very durable and can hold a lot of heavy equipment. Wheels work great. Handles are great. I love it. It is heavy and takes a lot of space, so be prepared.

[0.82 lb] Very well built. The handle on mine is different than the pictures on the site, instead of a wooden handle, it's got a clip on strap which works well.

[0.82 lb] I purchased this case for a long (approximately 1 meter) refractor telescope--(Takahashi TSA120N, with the non-retractable dew shield). I added 1 inch foam padding on the bottom, put some more foam padding in the long side pockets, and voila--I have the perfect case. This thing is VERY well made and has some internal straps by which to secure the scope.

[0.82 lb] I think it's most useful to think of this bag as built around the ability to carry light-to-medium light stands.
If you usually need longer stands or accessories (my Photek Softlighter doesn't fit), you're probably going to need a bigger bag (or additional ones). But if the length works for you, you'll enjoy a really well made bag with good wheels, well designed handles (soft handles AND a pull-out handle for rolling), customizable interior, and capacious side pockets that flatten. As an apartment dweller who often needs to travel to a job by taxi, this is a Goldilocks product-- just the right size.
I don't typically use this as an "all in one" bag, but one of several for different jobs. Chief uses are transporting a 2-head Einstein monolight strobe kit (with three light-to-medium stands, accessories, umbrellas, and compact Gitzo tripod; camera usually goes separately, as do any larger light modifiers), and as a main case for a video interview set-up (a Litepanels Sola 4+, bag of grip stuff, those light stands, boom pole, power and mic cords, Chimera 4x4 folding diffusion frame, gelly roll, maybe a folding flag frame). This is the kind of bag that you pack totally full and then, on your way out the door, you can still somehow fit that important item you almost forgot.
If you have a lot of space for equipment storage and/or don't need to wheel your equipment far, then some of the larger cases may make better sense. But this fills a niche, and I looked at a lot of cases in this size range and found nothing better. Value: I bought it on discount at B&H at almost half regular price. At full price, it's not cheap, but your money pays for real quality differences. If you're giving this bag a workout, it may be worth it. If it rarely leaves the house, then maybe not.

[0.82 lb] I have to operate sometimes as a one man band so having a bag large enough to put audio, lighting, extension cords, a laptop, and almost everything one needs for a small to medium size shoot into one bag is a necessity so you don;t have to haul multiple bags just put everything into the WPC-20R and WHEEL it to the shoot! For those of you looking at a production case I highly recommend this case primarily for the ability to haul a lot of gear and that it's on wheels. I wish Porta Brace would have added a build in strap or handle as sometimes you can not wheel the case and will have to carry it. I have added a strap to one of the cable hooks on the case but I'm concerned that they may rip out of the bag.

[0.82 lb] Great bag, feels durable. I am actually using it for my clothes, but for when I'm traveling with gear, so it matches the other stuff. What can I say, I'm a camera fashionista
