The Impact Fabric Grid for Large Luxbanx 40" Squareis a 40 x 40" light modifier that attaches quickly to the softbox's recessed front via touch-fasteners. The 40° grid narrows the beam spread from your softbox to control spill light and add directionality similar to a reflector while maintaining a soft quality of light. Unlike unwieldy rigid grids, Impact fabric grids are extremely lightweight and fold flat for transport in the included carry case.

Q: 1. Can the Impact LBG-SQ-S Fabric Grid for Small Square Luxbanx (16 x 16 ) be used with the Raya EFS-16 softbox? and is the velcro on the grid the correct side to fasten to the front of the Raya softbox?

A: If it has the soft part of the Velcro side to attach it to and is the same size diameter as the inner diffuser it should work.

Q: 2. Will this fit the Photoflex med Octabox?

A: Not sure, but if it does it's a great quality grid. One of the best and I have 4 different Luxbank modifiers.

Q: 3. Does this softbox come with any type of speed ring? One of the pictures appears to show one.

A: Speed ring sold separately based on the light you intend to use it with.

Q: 4. Does this grid attach by velcro?

A: Yes, the grid attaches to the Impact Medium Strip Luxbanx (16 x 55") via velcro.

Q: 5. What are Touch-Fasteners ? Does this attach via velcro?

A: Yes, they attach with Velcro.

Q: 6. Is this suitable for use with a 1k (1000 watt) tungston lamp?

A: I use it with a Lowel Tota. It's has a 1000 watt lamp. The Luxbanx is a pretty heavy duty unit, so you'll want to get a better than average stand.

Q: 7. can I mount this on a Chimera softbox?

A: Yes, I have one on a 24x 32 chimera, Works just fine, directing the light where i need it. Good luck, dominick

A: The Impact Fabric Grid for Large Rectangular Luxbanx (36 x 48 ) is larger than what is required by the Chimera Medium Softbox. It will fit, but it hangs too loosely to work properly. You would either have to personally modify the Impact Fabric Grid for Large Rectangular Luxbanx (36 x 48 ), or you would have to purchase the correct grid from Chimera.

Q: 9. Will this work on a Westcott 36 Rapid Box Octa XL ?

A: I don't have a Westcott 36 so unknown.

Q: 10. Will this fabric grid work effectively with a Westscott 36x48 shallow softbox?

A: This fabric grid can work effectively with a Westcott 36 x 48 inch Shallow Softbox.

[0.855 lb] Well made and more rugged than many other softboxes I've used in the past. The carry case is a made of a thick fabric and not some weak nylon like you get with other brands. Most importantly, big beautiful even light is what you will get when you buy this softbox. Make sure you buy, or own a beefy light stand. 5

[40°] I have already used two of these on video and photo shoots in the first week! Used one with strobe for corporate headshots. On a video shoot, I used two with Tota lights with Impact dimmers to fill a dark industrial kitchen and interview a chef. I'll get much use of these well-made duo purpose soft boxes. I've used Impact soft boxes for years in industrial and product photography environments. Two thumbs up and five stars from me! 5

[Synthetic] I use Profoto monolights, but I see no reason to pay the high price of their softboxes when Impact makes excellent quality boxes at a much lower price point. The build quality is always good, and the light quality is on par with the more expensive brands. I own seven different models and regret nothing! Impact's customer service is also very good. One of my softboxes arrived with a carrying bag that had a weak seam, but they immediately sent a replacement bag. I will definitely buy more of these. 5

[Synthetic] Durable, well-constructed softbox. Inner and outer diffusers work well. Does a good job of transmitting an even, homogenous light. Reasonably easy to assemble. Looks like they used good fabric. 5

[40°] I got a secondhand 200w HMI light that gets extremely hot. This softbox does a great job diffusing the light. If you have muscles you’ll be able to break it down otherwise you’ll want to set it up once and leave it. So, start lifting bro if you plan on using it like I do. 5

[40°] I didn't know of this brand and was surprised to see how well crafted it was. The fabric is very high quality and corners are reenforced. They also added an extra rod which is something Chimera doesn't do. Well done! 5
